Update. The last few days the cars has been fine, the morning after the car showed the fault i topped up the oil as it was a little low and it started fine. I left it ticking over for a while and then took her out and it drove perfectly. Yesterday again it was perfectly fine and after work I went to see my mate at his work so he could get the error codes. These were 18009 & 16706 They were cleared and off I went and things were fine until this morning when I went outside to start the car to go to work. The car turned over but wouldn't start and the same lights were coming on, the engine management light, glow plug light, asr and also red flashing oil light.

Late last night I was 2 mins into driving when my dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car lost all power and stopped, the glow plug light was flashing and obviously the engine management light was on. Waited 5 mins and the car started but 10 - 15 seconds down the road on the way back home it happened again. Managed to get home due to only being about 1 mile from home but had to do the process above to get her there. Anyone had the same thing happened or have an idea on what it could be or things I can check?

Another update: went to the car earlier this evening and had a look........went for a drive and weirdly for the time I was out (approx 20mins) the gears etc were fine??? What the hell, how can something like I was experiencing disappear. I'm not counting my chickens and believe there is something not quite right lurking but this has me a little confused?? Dave.

Just an update, the biting point is very low.........probably 15-20mm at most off the floor........this seems lower than when it was fitted????

Gearbox oil change?

What are the other possibilities? Slave/master cylinders?

After that many miles do you think it would need it?

Hi there, 2 weeks ago I had fitted one of xmans stage 1 clutches Inc dmf and a brand new sach csc. I've now managed to do 850 miles on it with mixed driving including a 330 mile round trip to Ipswich on friday/Saturday. On the end of the journey I noticed the gears were a lot harder to select, double clutching made it easier. Without the engine running and using the clutch I can select all gears perfectly. The clutch has been treated gently throughout so it's been bedded in correctly. Any help would be great.
