From my personal experience of running both over a period of 14 months the pedal box gives better consistancy, reliability and the better bang for your buck, trying to set the best combination between the CRDT box (Not TREVOR) and the pedal box is definately not a set equation, after months of pushing the boundries and experiencing problems I have settled for 3+1 (Box) and full sport setting (Pedal). I have run this for about 6 weeks and no issues. Pushing my luck results in limp mode and dangerous lack of power when most needed...

Are these still Available? Will they fit the estate/combi? Thanks -
I have been running both Crdt and pedal boxes on mine for a year now with mixed results. Has anyone else noticed an electronic alternator whine through speakers when they have fitted the pedal box? This happens whether the radio is on or not...This is common to bad earthing on car audio systems, but can't see why this should effect this application.

This has actually happened to me also after returning to 4+1, but as you mention perhaps it is due to having to adjust to a different setting, out of interest, this actually hapened to me as I was about to accelerate again after slowing down nearly to a halt, not from a stand still start off... I have had the pedal box fitted for 6 months now and as per above, I have stalled the car, so it is possible... Having said that the pedal box is a neat bit of kit and does compliment the car, I was lucky enough to be able to run my car on 4+3 and pedal box set at Full Sport mode, now that did make a HUGE difference.

I ran mine for 4 months with no hassle and with consistant driving, I'm more than certain, infact definate that I red lined mine (occaisonally) in fact bounced the needle on miss shifts (I'm not advocating irresponsible driving before anyone chips in) on 4+3 in the colder months and it never brought on the coil lamp. So I guess that with others having the same results, we can again blame the weather... Has anyone looked at derestricting the air flow into the air fiter box by removing all standard intake restrictive plastic blanking parts? I'm not getting into the whole air filter debate!!!! Just whether anybody had taken any notice of the inlet pipe arrangement?...

I never witnessed any vibration on any setting, started on 4+3, then 4+2 and now the car seems to have settled on 4+1 with no coil light showing... and that is with Pedal Box fitted. I would love to run the 4+3 again, but as explained in an earlier post, perhaps the (slightly) warmer temperatures we are having now effect it, I first fitted the box in November on my car on 4+3 with no problems and it was extremely quick with the pedal box

Makes sense... Less air mass/density... I forget basics sometimes... It will effect the overall fueling ratio/performance. But you tend think modern engines will compensate, probably on the contrary. But you never miss what you never had, and I had it and now miss it. HA I suppose I'll have to wind it back up come winter...
