  1. I've just had new discs and pads fitted all round (last Friday) and the car drove fine all weekend but by Monday evening (200 miles) a knocking noise has developed when braking as the car comes to a halt when braking with reasonable force. It's fine when you first start braking but the last few yards there is the noise. It sounds like it's OSF. The garage are having it back on Wednesday but has anyone any ideas before I get it there so I'm not fobbed off or have the front end rebuilt?! Car is 2.0 TDI DSG elegance hatch. 07 plate. Just under 90k Thanks. Dave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Some images I took today whilst doing the job. Took me about 40 minutes. Tho spot the deliberate mistake - the wire doesn't come through the centre on the original install. All works fine tho. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Cheers guys, I am fitting a replacement aerial, just with the same sort. Hopefully doing it on Thursday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. After successfully fitting a parrot mki9000 bluetooth kit without destroying the car I've decided to do the aerial! So I've ordered my replacement aerial and some trim tools and this week I'm going to do the job! I'll take photos whilst I'm doing it but I'm really nervous of taking the trim panels off. Before I start has anyone got any pointers as to where the clips are, how many there are and where to prise them from? Do I need to take off the side trims or can I do it with just the main rear trim panel off? Any thoughts on the job as a whole gratefully received. And any particular photos more useful than others? Cheers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Managed to remove the headlight unit and eventually the very fiddly sidelights. I've removed these LED ones and replaced them with standard bulbs. Total cost £2! Thanks for your help guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks guys, as i seem to have to take the headlamps out to rectify this i think i'll go back to standard bulbs anyway, if i take the headlamp units out - a job for the christmas holidays - will i have to get them readjusted or do they retain the correct angle after they've been unclipped and reclipped? Many thanks Dave
  7. I've recently bought an 07 octavia II and its been running fine however the NSF sidelight has started playing up. My issue is that they both come on and then the NS bulb goes off after 4 seconds. It also comes on slightly after the OS one. The bulbs are both very white bright bulbs so assume they have been upgraded at some point before i bought it. The car is an octavia hatch, elegance 2.0tdi dsg. Any thoughts? Thanks Dave Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
