  1. @Eddie-NL what would not work with pre-FL Maxidot? Only the two scroll buttons for radio volume and maxidot up/down control? I have installed Octavia III RS MFSW with 5E0919719G buttons in my pre-FL Octavia II and only volume and up/down controls are not working. But it doesn't bother me, because I will also replace my pre-FL cluster with FL one.
  2. Hi! I'm thinking of replacing my original con rod bearings on my O2 1.9TDI (BXE engine, year 12/2006, model year 2007) with new ones. I have Google a little bit and I have found that Glyko sputter bearings are the best choise. Is this correct? Or is better to use original or some other OEM bearings like Kolbenschmidt or Clevite? What about multilayer copper and lead bearings or bimetal aluminium bearings? I'm planing also a chip tuning of my car in the next spring and after tuning the car will produce around 140hp (103kW) and 320Nm. Which bearings do you recommend? Thank you for your answers. Best regards, tomyn18
  3. @yman750, thanks for reminding me Can I expect any problems with brake servo after replacing the brakes? Will original brake servo produce enough pressure for satisfied braking? Is there significant difference after replacing original brakes with brakes from RS?
  4. Hello! I'm also thinking of replacing my existing brakes on Octavia mk2 1.9TDI (current front FS-II 280mm, rear CII 41 260mm) with the RS brakes. I know that I can't just simply replace brakes with new one, so I'm wondering, what exactly I need. At the moment I have accumulated: Complete front and rear brake from O2 RS Front hubs from Octavia 2.0TDI Front shock absorbers 55mm Do I need anything else? What about my existed front bearings? Will they fit in new hubs, or will I have to replace them? I would like to have all needed parts before I start disassembling my car. Thanks for the replies and best regards, tomyn18
