  1. Hi guys. I have also recently bought V9 update from eBay (U.K. Seller) 35 quid. Installed with no problems. I didn't ask when version 10 is out but in the description, the guy said if you send the old card back to him, he'll give you 25% off the next version. Pretty good I think.
  2. Hi mate. It's definitely not the normal sound of the supercharger but I am thinking it could be related to the supercharger as I've noticed it since had the water pump changed. Don't know if it's something to do with the belts etc?
  3. Hi guys. I am getting an intermittent squeak when I tap the accelerator pedal. This usually happens on light acceleration and tends to happen when the engine is warm- I would say 80-90 c oil temp. It doesn't do it every time. It started happening after I had the water pump replaced. Don't know if it's just a coincidence? I'm going to book it in with Skoda and get them to have a look at it but because it's not constant, it's Sod's law they won't hear anything... I've not noticed any loss of performance whatsoever. It also accelerates fine like it should, even when it squeaks. Any ideas? Cheers
  4. Mine failed a few months ago. Awful sound from engine bay, then losing coolant. Mine failed at 46k odd miles. 2011 cave. I was given a price of 380 at skoda dealers I believe.
  5. You're right mate. Left side of the engine right at the very bottom. Unsure if its belt or chain sorry. Had my pump changed recently. There was also a damp patch I could see like you describe.
  6. With the water pump, driving along with the window open I could hear a strange noise coming from the engine bay. Hard to explain but bit of a rattle type sound- This happened before I started losing the coolant. Soon as the pump was replaced, the noise disappeared. Cost around £380 I believe at main dealers although I paid £320 ish at independent- genuine part.
  7. 2011 on 48k mine. Owned it from 20k. Had to have water pump replaced and engine light came on a few months ago. Turned out to be brake boost pressure sensor? Had this replaced. Other than that, mechanically sound. I have recently noticed a slight intermittent squeak sound on acceleration. Not sure if this is a problem with pedal. It's going to skoda for a service next week, so going to ask them to check it out. I do have to top up oil between services but this doesn't bother me. A Couple of interior niggles which frustrate me but still love the car.
  8. Mine has starting doing this :-(. Exactly as you describe.
  9. Wow that is awesome! Bargain I must say :-)
  10. This happened to mine recently. Had to have a new water pump unfortunately :-(. Mine was losing coolent everyday though. There was also strange noise coming from the engine bay! Mine is 2011 vrs 46k
  11. I paid around £25 from EBay. Company in Germany. Absolute doddle to fit. It was up for £35 I think but they were open to offers. Its a faily sturdy fit but it's not bolted so won't be as strong as OEM one. I got two covers with mine. Fabric and faux leather. For the price, it's great and does the job. No way on this earth I was paying 140!
  12. I paid £45 like Mike89. Well worth the money :-). Not sure about Kent mate. I'm in midlands and I ended up ringing a few garages. A couple of garages refused to do it for whatever reason... The quotes varied £45 to £90
  13. You can pick them up on eBay for around £80/130 depending on the version. Just make sure it's new as the cards are single use and lock to the unit.
  14. I've recently changed all mine to led's. Massive improvement!
  15. Nearly three years of ownership now with my cave estate. Had to have a new water pump fitted yesterday :-( £320. Was surprised it went. Only 43k on the clock but granted, its five years old this month. That's the only thing I've had to repair since owning! Fingers crossed that's it for a while.
  16. I called them before I bought my car mate and they provided all info on the warranty work which was done. They were quite helpful.
  17. Mine is still fairly standard. Did have Eibach springs on from factory. Only thing I've done is remove centre silencer. Nothing else mechanically has been touched. Cave estate
  18. Hiya mate. Mine seems overly sensitive at times. Has been set off by wind before and last week it went off twice. Went down to car and opened the door and a Moth flew out. It had been setting my alarm off haha
  19. Admundsen rns315. Official one for the car. They can be had for anything from 200 to 250 on eBay. Cracking unit mate.
  20. You can change the volume level in settings, at least you can on my admundsen. You can set the volumes for both nav and music in settings.
  21. I had my silencer removed last month (estate) I like it. Not stupid loud but nice sound on idle and when giving it the beans. Just throatier. Slight drone at 70Mph+ but not horrendous. Not like my mates evo that makes my ears bleed haha.
  22. Disgusting mate. Main dealers have done this under warranty for people before. Get onto the phone to customer services. They've always been helpful with me. When mine were done at main dealer. Service manager took photos of the wheels, sent them to skoda and they approved the work. Booked it in a week later.
  23. I had a brand new one fitted last year under warranty. Get on the phone to skoda customer services if you have issues and they can contact the dealers to sort if they're giving you problems mate
  24. Piece of cake to fit. Gently remove the black trim around the stereo, then there's 4 screws to undo. Gentle pull out. I removed the top glove box and attached the gps to metal support bar behind, then fed the cable through to behind where the unit sits. Just plugs into the back of new unit. Don't think can use steering controls but it can be coded to maxi dot display, so directions show on there.
