  1. Thanks for the interest everyone, just to be clear i can rotate the wheel w/o the other wheels moving. (No steering stuff involved) :-/
  2. It sounds/manifests like this: not quite this bad but similar
  3. Thanks for the replys, I would very much like the idea that it’s a CV joint but when I have the car on my lift there is no play between driveshaft/wheelhub. Granted I didn’t put force onto wheel while holding the driveshaft, and I’m not sure that would work since the springs push the wheelassembly out of ’normal position’. Any tips on checking the CV joints? There is NO sound what so ever unless putting strain on the driveshafts, either by gas (on/off) or when engaging/disengaging clutch in 1st/2nd gear. I’m pretty sure it’s not a tierod or a rodend :-(
  4. Hi guys, so I’ve been drivning my -11 170hk 2.0 tid 4x4 Skoda for 70000km or so. Lately (1 year), a noise has reared it’s ugly head on me. The noise is a sharp klick/klonk sound. while driving it manifests best if run at low gears 1 or 2, and when you go from accel to enginebrake on and off. Loudest when turning right, lower sound going straight, no sound going hard left. When the car is raised off the ground there is a notisible play while turning the front wheel, and indeed a klickning/klonking sound. I can turn the tire 5-7 degrees w/o any other wheel moving. the play/sound seems to originate from the front differential/gearbox. what do you guys think, anyone have the same sound? Know if it’s a common problem? Expensive? Urgent?
  5. Warmed up today so I checked the fuses and behold, a 20A was fried. Changed it and now it works again! [emoji108]
  6. Have you had any luck with this? I think my heatet also needs a reset. Its so cold I don't want to go outside right now so I haven't checked the fuses yet :-/
  7. Some engines are prone to oilpump errors too? There are a few threads about that, I think my engine CFGB has a more reliable oilpump? But who knows, maybe its up to chance if they break or not?
  8. It was just above 5 Celcius. The car resides in the middle of Sweden. Any more ideas?
  9. Hi, This weekend I changed the oil in the Haldex. Ran into two problems: 1: dealer said there should be 0,9L in the Haldex. I measured the volume when I drained it : 0,6L. And that whas what I managed to fill too... 2: lumps of waxy content was in the drained oil. Oil was 'clody'. I'm thinking I drive a few thousend KM and change again... Anyone know the volume? And if I should be worried about the 'waxiness'? Cheers
  10. Got any pictures of the install? Did you have to run alot of cables? More info please :-)
  11. What I would like to know is if the dualmass flywheel is taking a beating if you drive the engine at 'low' rpms?
  12. Thanks Joakim, you where correct. It was configured for ventilation :-( I'll give it a try when the temperature drops again.
  13. Hi, the winter is on approach and I was going to enjoy my auxiliary heater :-) Epic fail, or well it kinda works but not like last winter :-(... I can't light up the auxiliary heater with my remote, the LED indicates that it was a successful start but the only thing starting is the ventilation. The heater itself doesnt fire up :-(. Now the strange part is that when I start the engine the heater fires up and heats correctly :-( Any suggestions?
