  1. I have a wifi odb and carista on ipad, can't get android phone to connect to it either. Think the software just looks for Bluetooth on Android app
  2. As long as it passes emissions all is good, I've always just gone straight to decat and not worried about the legality.
  3. I've been looking into getting an oem shaped straight pipe to swap for backbox as centre silencer is welded to cat pipe. Did the back box delete make a big difference over just the centre silencer?
  4. I was under my vrs trying to spot the join between cat and silencer, annoying cat backs like miltek don't mention any extra work needed to fit! As for turbo needing back pressure, this is a myth. The turbo compressor wheel makes all the back pressure it could need, the less restrictions the better for turbos. N/A engines needs some back pressure to increase torque. I ran a decat on my old astra coupe turbo for years, the k04s oil seals didn't get affected one bit. Those turbos are made of chocolate and last 50k on average standard 9/12psi , mine was pushing 21/24psi!
  5. When I put columbus in my monte it didn't need any coding, everything worked even parking sensors on screen, but I didn't have Maxidot. When I swapped it into my vrs with Maxidot everything worked bar the Maxidot, forgot to ask skoda to enable it whilst it was in for a service, came out working so got lucky with that!
  6. Had a look on their site but nothing listed, do they do a cat back with the valve for our cars?
  7. I did Somerset to Scotland not long back, managed 56mpg on cruise at 70 all way there, 8 hours non stop driving. It's a pretty surprising engine!
  8. Just got mine back from dealers for the noise in steering, inner track rod ends are the cause all done under warranty.
  9. Try it in another Skoda with known working radio. Or any vag with quad lock as it's an RNS510 in vw
  10. Mines coming up to being a year old and 8k miles, oil level hasn't budged!
  11. My fabia was only 6 months old when it's antenna Base died, caused me to loose signal apart from the one wired into window. Could always see if cables are accessible when you drop headlining an inch, test it with a new one and return it if fault stays. Or multimeter on the Base to see its getting power perhaps
  12. I had a fairly new pioneer unit and it could sense it was grounded, swapped to relay and it bypassed the handbrake perfectly, it takes about 10mins to knock up a bypass harness and a 4 pin relay. When radio sends pulse to amp cable it routes it to relay, relay turns power to other pin, radio thinks handbrake is applied.
  13. My antenna 1 was always off, the aerial base was just replaced by Skoda under warranty as it had failed. As above though, both failing at once is less of a chance than connection
  14. Back from skoda today, replaced aerial base and signal has been restored! They also gave it a wash. Well to be accurate, they gave 80% a wash and left patches all over.
  15. I'll let them know and see what they manage! I did the reset and it didn't work to give me Maxidot I shall bear that in mind! I've seen cheap VCDS on eBay etc are these okay to use or does it need the proper stuff?
