  1. After frost nights the lock opens but the door rises only a couple of inches before it stops and it beeps one time. I washed the car 2 days earlier, but I open the tailgate and wiped off excess water on the inside. There are no obstacles nor is the door stuck to the rubber that goes around the door. I have applied silicon to the rubber. It is not possible to rise it manually, its totally stuck and I do not dare to use force to open it. I was able to close it manually. I guess it will open without problem this afternoon when its warmer. Its this a known problem? Any advice? Sorry for my bad english
  2. Well. Had my car to the dealer today. They could not remove the CP, according to the factory they said. Well, that means im not allowed to exchange radio unit in my own car, its a scandal and possibly not even legal. Its my car. Well, no skoda no.3 for me.
  3. Yes. I know that its possible on Audi's MMI
  4. Any news here guys? Have a bolero but want the latest columbus. Is it now possible for skoda dealers to remove comp protection and code it in?
  5. I will call the dealer tomorrow, thanks guys for your advise.

  7. Hi, got my octavia III 1.6 TDI 4x4 estate 3 days ago. Today I got this error in the combi instrument under vehicle status: LIMITED PROACTIVE PASSENGER PROTECT The warning light is not lit. I have not disabled the passenger airbag. Any ideas whats wrong?
  8. Waiting for my candy white octy. Had a anthracite grey mk II up to now, and a black A4 before that. Is the white colour much worse showing dust and dirt? I would think that minor scratches and marks shows less on a white car than on my grey mk II. I just love the MK III in white. Would appreciate comments on this.
  9. Ups, the ? Marks in my reply was a mistake, It should be a smiley.
  10. Looks smashing in red I must say ????????
  11. I'm wondering if the 4x4 system sends any power/traction to the rear wheels during driving in dry conditions. Is it 100% 2wd in the dry or is some power always sent to the back wheels, 5-10 % maybe? If the spilt in the dry is let's say 90/10, then the car does have permanent 4wd one could argue. If 10% to the rear, then the system should be ready for slippery conditions without having to spin the front wheels first, before the rear wheels kicks in.
  12. Have ordered a combi 1.6 TDI 4x4 Ele. I saw somewhere that the full beam switches on automatically at speeds over 60 kp/h. And it switches off under 30 kph. Does that mean that you only have low beam under 30 kph and even when you are stationary. I would think that it was the light conditions that would be the factor not the speed. Regards T
