  1. even a custom ss exhaust should cost no more than 2/3rds of oem, last much longer, breathe better and look better, sound better No brainer really especially if your only going cat back
  2. in all probability its a tsi , if the dipstick is at the front left its tfsi . it its on the left hand side its a tsi and they have an IHI turbo
  3. or in future for an easy fix just remove the rubber backing cover when going on a run the heat from engine will dry it out
  4. ive used this guy for my audi S2 to RS2+ spec and he certainly knows his stuff http://www.automarkuk.com/ Not Yorkshire but not far off these guys are good too http://adetuning.co.uk/
  5. Hi i have used octane booster in the past, I always used millars octane plus which gives you up to 2 octane to your fuel, i have used it with v power and tescos 99 ron stuff when doing any track days etc or there is the millars CVL turbo which adds 4 octane http://www.millersoils.co.uk/motor-sport/treatments
  6. if you go "full milltek including cats that will cost alone about 1200-1400 quid as the cats are silly money, cat back will be about £600 to £700 if you go for the cat delete pipe you will need a friendly mot guy
  7. it seems pretty cheap to me to be genuine article and you would need a remap again and depending on how much more power probably bigger injectors and map sensor
  8. thanks for sharing thats not a bad price either keep us informed once fitted please
  9. ive used them a few times and must say they were very good quick delivery too got front grill and other stuff
  10. just make sure its the right one as if you have xenons with self leveling feature i think theres a sensor or something on the rear arb as theres 2 to choose from for the same model with or without xenons
  11. just check with awesome before you order they will be open tomorrow
  12. All depends on the disks and pads they use you can buy a set of disks for 40 quid but they will probably last about 6 months and the cheaper pads tend to be really hard for wear but not stopping power, you pays your money and takes your chance, unless you specify on the parts they use, NEVER scrimp on brakes and tyres!!!!!!!! just paid nearly £300 for pads and disks for the front and i`ll fit them myself but a decent garage should easy be able to do each side an hour , 2 hours labour is about right plus parts
  13. with the honeycomb grill i think you have to trim the bonnet release bar as it wont come through the grill
  14. Hi I took the bumper off to as to get it perfect, I used 6mm nuts and bolts penny and spring washers instead of self tappers so its not coming off lol ive got one of these for the back but not fitted yet hopefully in the next couple of weeks and ill post some pictures http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-II/Octavia-II-RS-rear-diffusor-STUDIE-RS-v2
  15. i take it your car is a Vrs i think it would increase performance quite a lot, i think you'd need at least bigger injectors. possible uprated fuel pump and possible larger inter cooler then a custom not generic remap and whilst i was at it i would renew the coils and plugs
  16. hi merry Christmas to you have you changed/tried the MAF (mass air flow Meter) these can go and would give you fueling problems, lumpy idle and shiity mpg etc you could try one of a car that is running correct on yours if yiou can
