  1. If I get a Vw or seat one will I be able to update software so I get the skoda logo on start up? I don't care but I'm just thinking about when I need to hand it back at end of finance agreement... any thoughts if this would matter?
  2. Had my pid stolen from my citigo, unit and arm. Where is best and cheapest to get a replacement skoda one? Thanks very much sam
  3. I have a spare set of 3 door deflectors if anyone wants some.
  4. Just picked up my Monte Carlo to replace my sport- but there's no button on stalk to change my digital display to mph? Just have temp and time? Also, I didn't get a service book at all as I assume it's all electronic now? Sam
  5. 10,000 miles come quicker than years for me so it's down to the mileage not time annoyingly!
  6. Ok small update- after chatting to skoda I'm going to be handing car back via vwfs and starting fresh with a new Monte Carlo. My car is on 39,500 miles- if I'm handing it back to skoda I don't really want to be paying for a £270 service I won't use- but by the time the car is handed back it may well be over the 40k mark. Anyone handed a car back right on the line of a service point? I assume I'm a bit stuck to be honest, and may just have to take the hit.
  7. Hi all, I'm just about to teach my voluntary termination amount and so am looking to get a 5 door Monte Carlo (I currently have a 3 door sport). I'll be calling dealers tomorrow but wanted to get an idea of my options first- what have people done before? Hand car back through VWFS and just start again? Is it possible a dealer may take my car as px, pay off the finance and set me in a new car? Likewise- my wing mirror sticker has peeled a bit- is this gonna be an issue with handing the car back if I go that route? Can I get hold of replacement stickers? I've also got a few stone chips but looking at the wear and tear guide it should be ok- just need to give them a bit of a touch up. Thanks for any help Sam
  8. Hi all, I've had my Citigo for nearly 2 years now- contract is 42 months. I've got a 3 door sport and have just had a little one so something larger/with 5 doors is needed. I'm trying to work out the earliest possible time I can hand the car back without having to pay thousands to settle my agreement. How would I go about working it out? I know how much I've paid off, know the current amount needed to settle but I assume there is a value of the car in there somewhere that is added to what I've paid to work out what is left? The minimum future value doesn't come into yet does it? Thanks for any help Sam
  9. Just wanted to double check I wasn't going to break anything- checked the manual and it says just to remove the connector first by pulling on it. Should I use a screwdriver to help it on its way? Wanted to see if there was a certain knack to it or If i should just be more ruthless with it! I'm not with my car at the moment otherwise I'd be trying it out!
  10. Thought that'd be the case, does anyone have a little one and a 3 door citigo? I'm sure we can make do until a time where we can change without financial loss! Thanks, looking forward to it!
  11. Hi all, quick question for you. I have a 3 door sport on PCP which is currently only 4 months old however just discovered some wonderful news that the mrs is expecting a baby. So I'd like a 5 door version (Monte Carlo as sport is obsolete). Just wanted to see what cost it'll be to swap it over or if it's even possible? Will be going in to skoda Monday but thought id ask the oracles here too! Cheers Sam
  12. I did check the manual but as I hadn't seen it before thought I'd double check Must have just ignored it before! Thanks
  13. I get the warning sign even when I have no passenger in the back, is this right? It's only just started coming on! Even when I've had people in the back I haven't noticed it coming on.
  14. I think it's my washer fluid level warning but wanted to check- it's 2 little things that look like hills when I start to drive and they disappear after a mile or so. It's next to the odometer on the trip computer and has just come on.
  15. Just replaced my drls and headlights, quick question: when I put the lights into the first position (sidelights) should the main bulbs do something? Or is it because I have the drls they replace the sidelight? They're osram night breakers. So only when I have main beam or normal headlights are they on, is that right? Cheers. Sam
  16. It's in the leaflet/manual for the pid on a sticker
  17. Is it worth the extra £17 for the map updates? It's a big discount from £80 with the code I got but I can't see much need for it?
  18. White 3 door My PID seems a bit unresponsive in the top corners to touch but we'll see if that improves with a reset and charge!
  19. Finally picked my Sport up today! It looks fantastic and is the first one I've seen/driven properly, so went in a bit blind! Fantastic car though, exactly what I wanted and needed! Few questions, I've connected Fresh Maps on my laptop and have seen posts saying about updating it within 30 days? I can't see anywhere to do that as mine says its fully updated? Also, for the first 1000 miles do I try to keep low revs etc? Anything else I should worry about? Going to fit my wind deflectors and bulbs this weekend Didn't realise it had A/C either, result! Sam
  20. Mines in Germany apparently. Ordered December 5th haha
  21. Has anyone got the links for the exact bulbs I need?
  22. Up isn't 0% APR, so doubt it's worth the difference!
  23. I have been searching through the forum for things to get once I pick up my sport, such as DRL bulb upgrade etc and wind deflectors. Just wanted to double check I am buying the right things Here's my list: DRL upgrade Sidelight/headlight upgrade Deflectors Anything else? Links to the best places to buy from so I definitely get the right parts would be great. Thanks! Sam
