thanks for the replies car model is a 2009 Greenline, Ric04vrs, in relation to the (multi plug at the pillar ) will I have to remove the trim on the inside of the pillar for access? ie. this is the pilar between the two doors. thanks GaSelle, is there a control module in each door?

Jasper, its possible to have the boot open as a hatchback all the time, it was a case of having too with me, my boot wouldnt open at all, mainly the two wing motors wouldnt release, so I took them off, but this involved a bit of work to be done from inside the boot to release the pin that the motors cling onto. once thats done and the boot is opened as a hatch then pull out your wing motors, they only have plug in electrics and held in with 4 screws. but I since discovered my problem with the boot not opening, its the wiring that runs through the arm of the sedan part of the boot were pinched. I've since put it all back together and happy to have a twin boot again. but YES you can have it as a hatchback only.

wiper motor was gone, got 2nd hand wiper motor that is working and fitted it but still no wipers, would relay or wiper stick be the issue or is it a wiring problem somewhere else, any ideas

Many thanks to you for the instructions to fixing the twin boot door problem, I had this problem and had removed the two wing motors and operated the boot just as a hatch. I had posted my problem previously on this net but the solutions never solved the problem. I stripped out the boot at the weekend and located the wire loom for the boot in that small curved pillar, and low and behold here were all the wire covers exposed, none were broken but they were in contact with each other which cant be good. got some insulating tape, fixed the prob and fixed back my removed motors to find she worked again. Hii all Problem with front wipers on Skoda Superb 2009 model, was driving to work this morning and the wipers started up without me using the wiper stick. I shut the car down and they stopped, headed off again but about 15min later off they went again at the fastest speed but wouldnt stop even if i shut the car off. i tried to locate the fuse to stop them but they then stopped altogether and now wont work. please need help, thanks N.P
