  1. Ha yes it is just a reflection of the flash.. :-/ To swap the wires around without having to cut them which I wanted to avoid, it just needed this tool.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322028748293?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. Yup, finally sorted it with a tool to remove the wiring connectors - swapped the wires around and hey presto the led's work fine...Apologies for the crap photo, but here's one to show they work..
  3. This was me at Woodbridge on my last Busa http://s269.photobucket.com/user/skomansteve/media/Steves%20Bikes/1887MPHRUNATWOODBRIDGE.mp4.html
  4. Better with the Brembo's, but not massively better.. I've had 4 Busa's over the last 10 years and not really found the brakes an issue, but I did put Bendix RR pads in the 2 mk1's which did make a difference..I guess the Busa isn't everyone's cup of tea style-wise, but for a bike to put a smile on your face when the throttle is pinned, takes some beating.. Nail it in any gear, any speed, single or 2 up its guaranteed to make you grin...
  5. Hi Jonro, the bulbs are P21W like this What I don't get is why the polarity is opposite to what I think it should be, I.e the centre contact should be + and the outer bulb casing should be the earth.. Am I missing something? I know yours worked, but I don't want to to the expense of buying Cree's only to end up with the same problem... Cheers. Steve.
  6. I was thinking along the same lines... Looks like that'll be the answer... In answer to Jonro's post, there's only a single central terminal on the base of the bulb..
  7. Yes I tried that, but with a bayonet connector it shouldn't make any difference...thanks..
  8. Hi guys, 1st post for a while, so be gentle... We've just got a 2013 Monty and DRL's work fine.. I bought some led bulbs with the can bus module in built and they don't work.. They are both bayonet fit, however my mate is an electrician with a circuit tester and he's found the polarity of the bulbs are different.. On the bulb holder and standard bulb the + is the outer ring with the - in the centre.. On the led's the + / - are ther other way round as he tested it with 12v power and both LEDs work, off the car.. Apologies in advance if I'm being a total numpty... Any ideas ? Cheers in advance..
  9. Just posted in the Monte Carlo register after a few years away.. Glad to see a motorbike section on here too... Here's my ride.. 1340 cc Hayabusa, if anyone didn't know.. 10.3 s / 139.6 mph standing quarter mile and 188.7 mph in the mile at Woodbridge airfield...
  10. I've not been on here for 4 years or so since I left the Skoda stable (ex new + used car sales Manager for Skoda).. The Mrs is about to pass her test this week, hopefully, and on Saturday we're going to get her new (to her) car, a 2013 Monte Carlo tech 1.2 tsi 105 5door in the red and black with Sat Nav(tech).. Could've gone the diesel route, but worried about the DPF issues I've read about as she'll only do 2/3000 miles p/a mainly 2.5 miles each way to work.. Hope to hell she likes it to drive, coz we've / I've committed to it now...after a leaky, rattly, 04 Corsa 1.2 8v with 130000 miles that she's been learning in, I'm sure she'll love the Monty.. I don't know who's more excited, me or her and it's not even my car! Just pleased I persuaded her it's the right car to buy over a Corsa or Fiesta.. I'm already looking for a few styling mods to make it look even cooler... ;-) Piccies to be posted 1st thing Sunday ;-)
