Factory holiday and TSI questions
readerr0r replied to Rainmaker's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
https://media.skoda-auto.com/en/_layouts/Skoda.PRPortal/pressrelease.aspx?ID=706 Apparently the factory holiday will help them speed up production. -
Low frequency 'boom' in cabin

On the mk2 Octavia you press the Ok/Enter button on the steering wheel, it may be the same for the mk3.- 1,541 replies

We get the 1,8TSI Elegance here, I've test driven it a few times and have been pretty impressed (I'm getting a RS though). Don't forget its 0-100km is the same as the old Mk2 FL RS! Our standard spec + tech pack would be pretty close to the L&K I think so this review should be fairly spot on. http://www.caradvice.com.au/286237/2014-skoda-octavia-review-132tsi/ http://www.motoring.com.au/reviews/comparison/skoda/octavia/skoda-octavia-medium-sedan-comparison-2014-44383

Nup Black pack is Anthracite Gemini's, you can't get the Silver Gemini's in Aus (officially, at least). These are Gemini Anthracite These are Gemini Silver Anywho water under the bridge since your car has been built, just clarifying for others. -

?? You could've ordered the Gemini Anthra's with or without black pack. http://www.skoda.com.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/Brochures/new-octavia-price_and_equipment_overview_271113.pdf (We're talking AU-specs btw guys ) -
Hotter Skoda Octy vRS spied testing again

Exactly, and you can see it has OEM style quad exhausts and of course they used normal bumpers, they probably didn't wanna wait weeks for the RS ones :P -
This is a pot shot at best, but sometimes when you plug the iPhone in you need to unlock the phone and tell it to trust the connection. It shouldn't effect charging though.

Double ended Mitsumi connector?

Yeah since the iPhone is for work only, wouldn't you just connect it up via Bluetooth? -

Lots of pics and whatnot here, http://club.caradisiac.com/octav-lele/skoda-octavia-rs-37267/photos.html -
Sometimes during testing they load up the car to its max weight to test the suspension and braking. That could be what they're doing in those shots?

Moon white is the same as Audi's Glacier white, for those looking for a comparison. No idea about Laser white though!

Depends on the country but I know in Aus the Elegance 132TSI & 110TDI have the multilink suspension and all RS' get it no matter where you are. 4x4 may have a different suspension tune though.- 1,541 replies

Its funny, I can think of three skoda colours that cameras seem to struggle with, sprint yellow, moon white, and meteor grey. Anywho, heres some of pro shots of sprint yellow... http://www.autobild.de/bilder/seat-leon-skoda-octavia-vergleich-5040970.html#bild1 http://www.auto.cz/skoda-octavia-rs-velke-fotogalerii-75859/foto?foto=16 and my personal favourite -
Audi's Glacier White is exactly the same, down to the paint code. Apparently its hard to capture in pictures, I've heard it has more depth compared to the solid Candy White.

Humidity sensor also helps out the start stop system doesn't it? Uses it to tell whether turning off the engine(and thus ac) would impact the temperature in the cabin. Like the others said I don't know if it needs climatronic to make it work. It could be that only the humidity sensing rear view mirror can be used with the light and rain sensor, which is also part of the AU tech pack http://www.skoda.com.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/Brochures/new-octavia-price_and_equipment_overview_271113.pdf
