  1. give it a blast, mine does this when i start it after being off shore for 3 weeks, let it warm up and give it a blast down a dual carraige way (only doing 70 mph obviously) should be fine
  2. I'd be up for the the 24th of August, Could meet at wolviston services, Head along towards hartside pass stop at the top for breakfast, then back down the other side, then see what happens from there, either back up and back the way we came or up head to the 66 and head our separate ways from there
  3. Sunday mornings, earlier the better, will be the best time. Did hartside pass a month or so a go early on a morning was only us on the road, great for spirited drivinv

  11. The new underground carpark in Redcar would be good, that's if the council and pc plod didn't come and spoil it
  12. Did the elephant mod to my vrs today, located the breather filter just to the back off the splash guard and what I think is the power steering pistony thing is this the right place to put it Also when I took it for a drive and gave it some it smoked like mad, used to smoke a bit under hard acceleration, is this normal after doing this mod? Going to do an oil change next week and see if that helps it
  13. weekends are usually the best, location wise who ever organizes it is best of phoning the propsed location and asking if they are alright with it.
  14. so havent posted on this for ages. wheels have been powder coated and had new tyres fitted, went for bridgestone potenzas wheels done by RS alloy in hartlepool, looks an excellent job so far will see it in person when im back home next week, coilovers are hopefully getting ordered t once im home going for meister r europas then power mods will begin!
  15. anyone know if 9n polo coilovers fit the fabia directly? thats all meister have in stock and they said they are 99% sure theyll fit
  16. think of getting a set of these for my fab, http://britelightleds.co.uk/led-bulbs/h7-led-upgrades/30w-cree-6000k has anyone used them before? if so how do they rate them
  17. having your side repeaters on with sidelights isnt "US spec" sidelights, us spec sidelights are totally separate lights
  18. i heard heisenberg kits are the best in the world!
  19. personally id have wrapped it so the weave went the same way, looks better in my opinion, end of the day its your car build it the way you want not the way others want it!
  20. it will be held secuerly motst likely be well over engineered
  21. surely a fab and weld shop could put a few sets together? i know EMP performance have done hardpiping kits before, using mandrel bent stainless. if someone could find a shop that would make them and get a group buy going you could get them at a better price than darkside?
  22. had planned on using high quality cable, can get stuff from work that is used to start v10 diesel generators drawing about 800amps on start up, but weighs a fair bit and cant get it off on the chopper!:(
  23. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/275124-moving-battery-to-boot/ so after reading this, it says 35mm will suffice, so ill go for 50mm to be on the safe side, fuse and fuse holder i will use, http://www.shop.sterling-power.com/acatalog/ANL_fuses.html http://www.asap-supplies.com/marine/fuse-holders-and-boxes/anl-fuse-holder-729342 will make a battery tray out of somethign as well to hide it away
  24. id be up for a meet providing im not away at work! only ones teeside area are the weekly chav meet at teeside park (if thats still on, police had been in high pressence lately) and the VAGcars meets they do every so often, not being to one yet due to them always being on whilst im at work but heard good things about them
  25. i was planning on using marine grade wire, standard battery for the vrs has a CCA of around 700 amps, 75mm marine cable has a current carrying capacity of around 500amps will this suffice? CCA is measured at 0 degrees farenheit the battery only produces a high current for a few seconds doesnt it? there is 100mm cable to, putting a fuse in will be a nightmare a fuse with a 700amp rating would be huge!
