Hi, I interpret that the 'duel tone horn' is one horn, with 2 tones. I have heard that there is a second horn that is used for the alarm system. Which I believe is on the opposite side behind front bumper.

Hi John, have you changed the Reg No to your own number? I swapped Yeti's in May. And put my own number on the latest Yeti. If I type in my present number I will be charged. Old Yeti was a diesel. Type in the original number of present Yeti and it won't be charged. It's a 1.2 TSI, DSG. So, I guess that TFL have not updated their records, or do not bother to check with DVLA each time a person checks about a charge.

Hi, have you thought about a narrow top-box. If it's just for rod's etc, could be bolted on as and when needed. Plus would give you a good storage place for everything.

Hi, sold my 2013 140ps DSG couple of months ago. Covered 120000 miles in just over 5 years. Bought a 1.2 TSI DSG. Totally a different beast. Tried to get dealer to allow me to swap wheels. Take the old wheels off and put the new (used) wheels on my old car. Even offered cash, plus I change them myself. No chance. I'm looking to buy a set of the Spitzberg wheels. either with or without tyres. I've got the - 5LO601025 17" on mine. SO, any plans to sell your wheels separate??? Or maybe even swap/P-ex with tyres on. My tyres are 'Michelin Primacy 3' Covered 19000 miles. I live West London and am prepared to travel to purchase/swap/p-ex. Apologies if I'm doing this all wrong.

Hi, have a fairly new Yeti. November 2013. Mileage so far, 118000. And still going strong. Have heard of others that are up to 250000.

Hi all, just re-looked at the video the dealer sent me. Shows the workshop person checking the tyre depth and showing the gauge to the camera. OSF 7.08(outer 1st) - 7.13 - 7.93 NSF 6.86(inner 1st) - 7.08 - 7.90 figures across width of each tyre. OSR 7.11(inner 1st) - 7.11 - 7.14 NSR 7.21(outer 1st) - 7.32 - 7.61 figures across width of each tyre. The whole video continues around the whole of underneath of the car without a break or pause in the video. It shows going to each tyre in turn while showing the mechanics of the underside of the car. I can only say/quote what I see. I have to take the video on trust, even though I still check the tyres myself each week. I have no idea why the workshop would attempt/or try, to make the tread look a greater depth than it was. It's a Skoda workshop that I always go to. And it's not where I purchase my tyres. I have nothing to gain by quoting false details.

Hat in ring. My Yeti is a 140ps & a 4x4. My 1st tyres were P. Rosso's. Lasted 37184 miles. 2nd set was Michelin CC's. Lasted 49424 miles. 3rd set is the CC's again. So far 27600 miles. Service 2 months ago showed 7mm tread left on all 4 tyres. I swap wheels front to back etc, around 12000 miles driven each time. We all have personal choices as to which tyre is best for our own use. Often based on previous usage, over years of driving experience.

Tried to test drive a Soul back in late 2013. Made 2 appointments to test drive a diesel auto, each time the dealer phoned the day before appointment to say, sorry can't get one. Told dealer(politely) don't bother. Walked into a Skoda dealer, nice diesel auto black Yeti sat there. Told dealer straight off, I'll buy that. 4 odd years later, and 96000 miles, still going strong. The 'FIX' is not done either.

Depends on your 'serious miles with the dsg box?' interpretation. I've had my Yeti 46 months, and driven 87000 miles so far. Just maintain as said above. Great car. Some Yeti owners have covered 160000 miles, don't know which gear box they have.

Re letter in Sad555. Just got mine. Sending in back answered, with few NO, NO's written over it. Plus words of, 'Not required in the UK'

Have used Superskoda a few times. Each time goods arrived in good condition. Knowing how some parcel delivery companies work (not the goods supplier) I would not use them if I wanted goods delivered in a day or so. Had an interior led light fail after a month, replaced free of charge without question. Yes, I will use them again when I need to.

Hi Pip, sad tale of yours. Hope all gets put right for you. Doubt you will get compo for the inconvenience. Have read somewhere that one owner had the wrong oil used, causing a problem. My yeti's coming up to 4 years in Nov. Had the DSG & Haldex oils changed 2 years ago. Being changed again in 9 days + Cam belt and water pump change. Going to have an early MOT at the same time. I will not be having the EA189 NOx update done either, as car going great. 80000 miles driven and 42mpg average overall.

Hi Paulq, I could but, I don't have enough time at present plus, I do tend to leave some jobs until it has to be done there and then. As I'm only guessing what it could be, I will wait till I have to do it. I never thought it could be the sunroof.

Yes. I have the same problem. I've tried bits in the boot as well. Sometimes, if I slam the n/s rear door it stops. Until Someone opens that door again. Have found, that door now does not always lock 1st time on auto lock when driving. I'm guessing that I need to strip the door down to check any loose bits inside. Knowing me, I'll wait till Christmas before looking.

Hi, you will normally only hear about problems owners have. If there is only one door with rust, has that door been bashed on kerbs etc? There has to be thousands of owner/drivers that have no problems. Mine is the model you quote as looking to purchase. (Mines not for sale). I've owned mine for 3 and a half years. No paint problems so far. 77000 miles and 42mpg average fuel consumption over that time. Apart from servicing every 10-11000 miles, one set of tyres and the odd couple of bulbs, it's perfect. Car seems happy at 5-10mph as it is at 80+ in France.

I purchased one from Skoda dealer couple of years ago, cost £51.

Very nice. Guess the owner is proud. I'd be proud to own and drive that Yeti. I would not like the hard ride or driving around London with all the speed humps. At 74, my opinion often differs from others but, we are all our own person. Enjoy your own life and drive.

Fitted CC's (well the garage did) 29000 miles ago, 15 months use. Each tyre on 5mm at present. Swap wheels front to back etc, around every 10000 miles. Run at 34psi in summer and 32psi in winter. Check around every 3-4 weeks. Use mechanical pressure gauge to check. Hold the road very good. Not tried in snow yet. Very good on French Motorways at speed, run straight and smooth. Other tyre makes are probably as good or better, it all comes down to owners choice/use.

Hi awfabia, had my Yeti 3 years and 2 weeks. Covered/driven 66000 miles so far. It's the best car (package) I've ever had, and I'm 74. Shame that the Yeti as we know it is coming to the end of the line. It's what they call progress and, is all about profit for the maker, VW.

JB - Why would you take out an additional 2 year warranty? Yeti's come with a 3 year warranty from new. Unless Skoda's do not cover them if they have been hire cars. Is the dealer trying to get you to pay for a warranty that is already there? Or is it an additional 2 years making 5 in total? If so, it won't be the FULL Skoda warranty. As the extra 2 years has to be ordered/purchased before vehicle is registered. Being down south ( London) have not used AC dealer so can't comment on their service etc. Me, I'd go for auto (dsg) every time. Mines coming up towards 64000 miles and all good so far.

Hat in ring time for me. My speedo reads (shows) about 10% faster than my TomTom shows. Where safe, I drive to the speed limit, as shown on the speedo. Apologies to all those behind me in the M3 road works when I've got cruise control set at 50. Same thing on those 'Smart' motorways, if the overhead sign shows a speed limit, that's what I aim for. So, it's my licence. All those that don't like my speed, overtake. It's your licence. ps. Thanks for the Maths lesson, bit over my head. Safe driving all.

No, as said above, not all Yeti's pull to the left or the right. In France yesterday, 80+mph (130kph) drove straight as a die with 2 hands light touch holding steering wheel. Hope you get the right solution to your Yeti.
