For those of you who are wondering if the DSG 1.5tsi is affected that I can confirm, yes it is. My wife (who is the main driver) has experienced on a few occasions the bunny/kangaroo hopping and I've also noticed a hestiation from going into 2nd from 1st many times. Probably not as severe as some of you have mentioned but definately the engine is being "controlled" by something (ECU?), maybe an emmissions thing?

Low frequency 'boom' in cabin
mightychipster replied to DaveBarr's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I've just bought Continental SportContact 5 and put my rear Continental sportscontact 2 on the front and 5's on the rear. It's made a hell of a difference. The booming noise has reduced in my estimation by 75% and road noise by at least 50%. I hope it's not a coincidence!- 1,541 replies

How did you adjust the buffers (on each side of the boot opening)?- 1,541 replies

Low frequency 'boom' in cabin

I've got a 2014 build vRS combi that has always displayed slightly louder tyre roar from the rear since new. It's now covered 10k but in the last 1k I can really notice the "boom" or "buffeting" in the cockpit. It's booked into my local dealers next week to hopefully demonstrate the issue to an engineer. Any hints or tips to go there with? I see a lot of "solutions" for the hatch but none for the combi - is that right? MC- 1,541 replies

I can now confirm that the DSG software update was for technical bulletin 2037333
-
No I don't but if anyone gives me a follow up call I'll ask and let you know. I suspect it was the same as Aki78

Just returned from Progress Skoda Northampton after they've applied a DSG software update. According to the dealership SUK have released a technical bulletin on Monday 9th June to apply this update to those Octavia's with the CC self cancel issue. I'll keep you updated with progress over the coming weeks. MC

I had my vrs booked in for Tuesday this week for 2-3 days so my local dealership could replicate the self cancel. SUK would not apply any software fix until dealership could identify issue. So, I cancelled and I'll now wait until SUK actually acknowledge there is indeed fault with the CC and they do a recall or something. MC

Thank you aki78. I've logged a case with SUK and someone will be contacting me within the next 48 hours. Probably Tues / Weds next week due to UK Bank Holiday. I'll reference your VIN and see what they come up with!

Thanks for the update, looks like there is a separate "fix" for the CC cutting out. I'll call SUK tomorrow and use 3 x VIN's found on this thread as reference and get them to apply the DSG update next.

I can now confirm that the software update recall 24AU has NOT fixed the CC turning off issue with my car. Will be contacting my dealership this afternoon to inform them. What other "software fixes" have any of you had? TIA
-
I've experienced the CC cutting out and when I contacted my local dealer we arranged for them to take a look at it today. Surpise surprise they couldn't replicate the issue and didn't find anything on the computer log. But what they did do was apply an ECU update recall 24AU and they said that this could be a solution. Not fully tried to see if this has but time will tell. Is this recall the ECO mode fix and / or the DSG fix as mentioned above?

Hi Wondered if anyone can confirm this for me please... I want the cargo nets for my mk3 estate octavia so went down to my local dealership to enquire. I was informed that they were for the hatch only and not for the estate! Is this correct? If not, what are the part numbers so I can call them back. Rip to FLAC instead as this is better quality than MP3. Downside is the file size is slightly more but on a 32gb> sd cards thats still tons of albums.
