The cam rockers are designed as the week point so they break hopefully before more damage is done has this happen on my old car 2.0 pd (believe cr engine is similar) engine broke 2 rockers fitted new ones fired right up

No down sides what so ever the big plus side is nothing to fail and total your engine !!

I’m sure the skoda is the same just it’s a larger boot so suspension parts etc should be the same , best tj8ng todo would be to find the part number of the part you need and google is see if it’s listed for the mk5 golf too

Few more little jobs done since this was put up, new disk and pads all round although I’ll be replacing the rears as they leave loads of break dust(and recommendations ) simple k and n air filter replacement panel filter some different alloys while I have the standard ones refurbed grill blacked out too

Best of looking for someone to scan your car for you look on the vcds map find a fellow member close that’s willing to help will save loads of guess work

Faulty coil pack have you checked the spark plugs ?? Get it read as above you will have a stored error code get someone who has genuine vcds to scan it

Get you random pump seal checked as this can leak fuel into the engine also,

Loads work but vcds is the genuine vw tool

Need to get it scanned with vcds as it might have some stored fault codes

Iv done a rad on a mk5 golf gti and I did it without removing the front section but it was a right **** of a job if I done it again I would just remove the front b7mper put in lock position and it would be soo sooooo soooooo much easier

Fit the Audi s3 ally ended intercooler it’s an improvement over the stock one not point going twincooler unless your going for big power??

Yes you can fit the golf seat BWA into your skoda just different bilt on bits and poss different drivers Side engine mounting, do not buy an eng8ne that lost its oil pressure trust me don’t, it’s easy to swap a complete engine over then do the head daft I no but the whole front end of the skoda bolts off so makes things easier

Very common issue on these engine stupid position for the sensor tbh your need another whole unit as the sensor can’t be swapped check out eBay be the cheapest place to get one

Mines was done in the instrument cluster section on vcds if that helps

Don’t no weather it helps but I turned mine off with my vcds no seat belt lights on at all full stop mines an 07 octavia

Could be a leaking injector new seals are around £40 per injector

If it’s foaming I’d be lookin at the head gasket failing and over pressuring the system, see if you can get a compression test done or someone to do a sniff test on your coolant for signs of oil

Have you had the thermostat replaced I’d start with that if you lower coolant pipes are not getting hot then it’s possibly seized closed and not allowing coolant threw

Have you checked boost pipes for splits broken or leaking seals ? Also is the turbo it’s self dead?

Nar all cables are ok as are fuses so looking at swapping pump now as that seems a common fault but my current pump is part number 1ko 820 859 f and I have a spare pump from an engine I broke witch is 1ko 820 803 n does anyone no any reason why they wouldn’t work ?? Mounting points look the same from what I can see as do pipes fittings

Hi guys totally gutted had lovely cold aircon last night now on my way home iv got nothing but hot air comming out gutttttted :( scanned with my vcds and I get the error 00989 control circuit a/c compressor 010- open or short to plus anybody got any ideas as to what’s wrong iv checked fuse numbe 4 and it’s ok :(

Hi guys mk2 vrs tdi what size is my front Anti roll bar going to be I’m looking to replace bush’s with power flex ones but they have like 6 difference size options :( and I don’t have a vernia at home to measure it

All fixed drive shaft had come out the outer cv joint new shaft fitted all fixed :)

Morning guys cars just broken down on me pulled out of a street and no drive engines runs fine just no drive can hear a crunching noise can put the car in a gear but no bite as typical. Away with work for a few days now so just had to push it stoneware safe and lock it up :( Any surgessions??
