  3. Hi Seat Surgeons in York would be able to do it for you. Steve
  4. Hi I need your advice! I would like to upgrade my front bakes/discs? Any help and advice would be very welcome. To start with, what size are my current front discs? Plus I wish to continue to my original Monte wheels [17inch]. So any advice would be very wellcome Steve
  5. Hi Mate

     I need your advice ?

I am in the process of buying a rear beam with discs,. But what in your opinion would be the best front discs for my Monte

    1. 32KOFDATA

      32KOFDATA

For daily driving and the power output of the Monte grooved Brembo discs are a good choice. Economic and efficient. You could go for Zimmermann too if you find them at a competitive price. Combine that with a set of TRW brake pads (they are the factory ones) and you will have plenty of stopping power.

      Many thanks

Looking a set of vRS front discs - with the rear disc beam upgrade . I know it may not make a lot of difference to the braking performance - but you cant beet the look of rear discs [rather than drums]!!

      Again many Thanks

PS Glad you have joined the Oct 3vRS ranks.

      Steve

  6. Hi Ant LOVE the look, I think it would look at a lot better if the Skoda badges on the bonnet [and the boot] were removed. As I have had done. Just my personal opinion - 4 what’s its worth!! All the best . Steve
  7. Worked for me! My vRS sits on my drive for weeks, and since my upgrade always starts first time.
  8. Hi It is a known problem - mine had it. And had been fixed by Skoda. If you do a search on this forum, you should be able to find the details.
  9. Hi Guys The retrim cost £1140 - but I was a returning customer. Yes I am very pleased with the badge removal - so much so I got them to do then same on my Monte Steve
  10. Hi At last its been done and I am very happy with the results:- %5BURL=http://s284.photobucket.com/user/steve_robinson3/media/IMG_0035_zpsrbr51hgp.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll11/steve_robinson3/IMG_0035_zpsrbr51hgp.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D You can have some once I have worked out how too!! Steve
  11. Hi FYI, I have just a review camera fitted to my Monte [with a RNS315 headunit hat I fitted a while ago], and it works fine. Steve
  12. Hi I had both my vRS and Monte's badges removed before I took delivery. PLus I have also had the round Skoda badges removed from both the bonnet and tailgate. P.S. My monte is booked in at the body shop for the same on my Monte next week.
  13. Yes I do like that! I don't know if they will be able to do the stitching on the SW. But if you don't ask - you don't get!! Again many thanks for the input Steve
  14. Thanks Yes I have already used them, they did retrim on my Monte! I have been waiting for about a year for them to get a pattern for the vRS seats, which they now have. So I am off to see them in a couple weeks to sort out what needs doing. My ideas are:- All black Black with red stitching Black sides with red seating area [as per my Monte] Black sides with white seating area and red stitching or white with red stitching. I worry that the last 2 may be a bit over the top.
  15. Hi Need some advice, I am GOING to get a a leather retrim on my White vRS combi, It has red stitching on S/W and handbrake. I have had a leather retrim done on my Monte, and I am been VERY pleased. Just looking for any opinions - only good [please]! Many Thanks. The result will be posted when it is done
  16. Hi Many thanks for the reponce - but how does normal paint handle the heat from the engine?
  17. No sorry - it's a question I would also like to be answered!! Coming from an interest in modding, I know that the engine covers get "the" treatment as well! Having a white car - when you open the bonnet, all you get is a sea of Matt black plastic.
  18. Hi Many thanks - I now see and understand. On checking the web, it seems that the LC2i does not seem to be available here in the UK. But there must be something similar.
  19. Hi Many thanks for the great fitment guide. I too have noticed a lack of bass with the system. Like the idea of sound deading the rear. My question is - as you are the expert - could just remove the Canton sub and replace it with the enclosure with the new sub? What extra does the additional amp and the LC2i add to the system? Many thanks Steve
  20. Hi All Just update the guys on the Octavia 3 forum. My vRS has been in today to have the parking sensors fitted - and they found the parking sensor unit [under the drivers side above the peddles. All fitted and working, very pleased - Many thanks to Langers2K for all his help. FYI the sensors are programmed into the head unit. Will post some pics to prove when I take the vRS out next Steve
  21. Hi When the body shop did mine, they "pulled" the metal below out, so it was nearly level then a small amount of filler. [As seen done on Wheeler dealers TV show]. Going to get them to do the same to the Monte a few weeks. Hope this helps. Steve
  22. Hi R22JGB I know now 99% where the Parking Sensor Module is - Thanks to langers2k - who went beyond the call of duty and used my VIN number to find out. It's located on the drivers side near the brake peddle. My vRS is booked in for the third attempt at fitting on the 20th - so all being well and successful, I will update this thread. Many thanks Steve
  23. Hi Mate if you look at this most resent thread, you will see a collection of pics,;- http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/401272-de-badge-or-not/ Steve
