Been out this morning between Blackshawhead and Booth and seen 5!!!!!!! classics A black one and a red one both parked up in Midgley. 3 steel greys on the road between Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd.

White 13 plate on the road from Jack Bridge to Blackshawhead at about 10.30am this morning, anyone on here?

Had my FL since Dec 22 last year and still not seen another FL out on the road.

Matterhorns look lovely with the lighter grey areas especially with the white, I am less convinced about the plain black, it may just be the lighting in the photographs but the wheel areas do tend to look a bit like "black holes" set against the white. It may of course look much better in real life.,

I test drove a second hand SE Tiguan 140 diesel 4*4 before settling on a new Yeti 140 diesel elegance 4*4. It was a close run thing, both are really nice cars both capable on and off road, but the Tiguan had 18k on the clock and no off road button and actually cost a few quid more than I paid for the brand new Yeti.

Can't comment about the classic yeti lights but my FL 140 elegance headlights are fantastic, I doubt I have ever had better on any car I have owned. (Not sure if the SE comes with Xenons as standard like the Elegance tho., so worth double checking that)

Seems a bit low. I have a 140 FL 4*4. I live on top of the Pennines and half of my journeys include a 600 -700 foot climb over a 2-4 mile journey with only a very small proportion of my mileage being motorway miles and I am managing 37mpg (actual not maxidot)

Spottydog you are now officially jinxed mate LOL But seriously my cars seem to be puncture magnets, but I am also aware that worn tyres are more susceptible than new ones, but sods law, with less than 350 miles in a brand new car and the side wall was completely ripped out. I did not hit a pothole or a kerb, one moment it was fine the next it had gone, luckily I was only doing 40mph at the time so no drama, except it was ****ing it down LOL. And to balance that thought I am glad I have a spare wheel having suffered an unrepairable sidewall gash in tyre that had travelled less than 350miles from brand new, at least I could swop tyres and carry on with my journey.

A coat of rubber / tyre dressing would just finish those off nicely Dave

Just posed the question to my missus who is interested in driving but not necessarily in the car as long as I provide her with a fairly new and reliable vehicle. She reckons she would probably not spot the change although she did say maybe your wife would notice the difference in an overtaking situation when the extra power kicked in, to which I repied that you would say "ahh yes the 1200 engine is spinning a lot freer now it has a few more miles on the clock"

This is exactly what Rainworth Skoda advised me to do. Which means I will run around with the 63 plate for the rest of the years and then in a panic next December put my private plate on. Wonder if it will make her feel new again?

It stopped the sensors working on my VW Bora which were only audio ones not audio visual like the Yeti. When I say it stopped them, what I really mean is they were permanently on when in reverse gear.

It looks a bit like what Suzuki might do to facelift the Jimny

I ordered a classic but my order ran into FL production so ended up with an FL. Its a brilliant car, but then it would be its a classic with a mildly modified front and rear otherwise its the same car, I really can`t understand what's not to like, so its point of view 3 for me.

Petrol Blue really suits the FL, it looks lovely.

Just fitted fronts and rears to my FL. Fronts are a breeze, very straightforward. Rears however are a bit of a bitch. In Consultation with the dealers mechanic via the phone (who had luckily fitted a pair to an FL last weekend himself,) the conclusion was that two bits of hard plastic at the base of the mudflap (concealed in the flap's that slide over the car bodywork either side of the metal clip) has to be cut out to allow a snug fit. Hope that helps anybody else who decides to self fit.
