  1. crazy! i remember the days when one had to wait for 5-6 years in the Eastern block. But 7 months nowadays is crazy. What this says to me? Good car and in huge demand!
  2. i hope you get some good news soon, the car is a dream...i cannot get over how smooth and quiet it is on the road. plus the constant head turns and shock seeing the Skoda badge on it from fellow drivers
  3. From the album: in love

  4. czexpat

    in love

  5. totally side with you..mine was build 29 Feb and I collected 30 March (London)..it only took 2 days from Kvasiny to Emden.. then 3.5 weeks to me from there....
  6. congrats and enjoy! i cannot get over the smoothness of the ride from my OCT3 which was just about 24 months old
  7. czexpat... TSI150 Manaul, no DCC, no probs so far after about 300miles. doing a a big drive in few days and report then
  8. ENJOY!!!! the ride is just soooo smooooooth...even on 19wheels... miles apart from Octavia3
  9. trust me you be in heaven. what did you order?
  10. it took 4 week for me from exact build date to delivery. One day to Emden. Then 2.5 weeks to Sheerness, then 1 week to dealer (60 miles ;o).. than few days to me. Good luck and I hope you will love the car. For me it is an eye opener. Puts not only my OCT3 to shame by a class but my Audi S4 i had about 5 years ago. The tech is insane, the intelligent and clever handling is beyond me. People might say its too floaty but I am not a VRS material anymore. It is so so quiet and smooth. My wife and daughter bemused. And trust me they are hard to impress.
  11. no noise to report on my SE L Exec 1.4 TSI 150 hatch on 19 Sirrius after 60 miles today

MINUS POINTS: el boot can only be opened from inside or outside (or by key) but not closed! I will live

  14. BTW i was wrong and you were right Briskodians! picked my superb hours ago and I live the auto break.. not to mention the rest of the car! OMG what a smooth quiet ride compared to my OCT3
  15. seems we got the same engine, good choice i date to say ;o) how does this auto hold works then? am sure the dealer will explain that to me tomorrow but I am just old grump and probably wont want to listen to him...
  16. it doesnt ;o) just baffles me everytime i try to move her car few feet... am sure I will get used to it.. staying positive here
  17. good one pentaxian! i will be sitting here tomorrow from 5pm onwards (3pm pick up) shirt covered in saliva no doubt. My current 24mnths old OCT3 estate (with 17K miles on it) will seem like a prehistoric moron. Although I didnt go for L&K for insurance reasons. Mine one is SE L 1.4 manual in biz grey with 19 Sirrius wheels and few little bits nothing fancy. PCP so will be swapping it in 2yrs again. i hope you enjoy sleeping on the sofa reading and smelling the user manual ;o))) Oh and watch out for the left foot hitting the break pedal!!!!
  18. funny you say that, my wife has it on her XC90 and i just cannot stand it ;o) wont have a choice as off tomorrow..
  19. Picking mine SE L hatch 1.4 manual in biz grey with 19 sirrius wheels tomorrow so obvs excited. this e brake is my only worry ;o) cannot get my head around it the superb user manual makes it even more messy for me. am puzzled as to what is auto hold and hill hold (which I have on my OCT3). Is there a simple way of explaining how this ebrake works please? ta J
  20. Got a bit lost in here, anyone without DCC having this issue please?
  21. yup, corrected myself, apologies chaps... and while we at it good luck to you too grebble
  22. Good luck with going to the Go Ape SKHool!. Picking up mine in 23 hours and I can tell I will certainly go ape myself ;o)
  23. Cheers for the superB detailed response Derv. Got me thinking. As my Oct3 which I am swapping for S3 in for on Wed was black pearl and I those annoying swirls since day one. Plus many many many chips and scratches all the way to white base. It felt like even a tap of nail would damage the paint an it did. Very soft one could say. J
  24. Hi chaps, Is there any point having the paint sealed,(detailer as you refer to them) whilst on purchase hire? I had my OCT3 done with LifeShine and saw no difference apart from the nearly 300 quid down. I will return my Superb3 (picking up in 48 hours ) in no later than 2 years and get another one / maybe Superb again. I will never own the car and dont want to so please dont murder me for my choices ;o) Cheers J
