  1. Guys thanks for the post I will try and get it in to Skoda However had a long chat with the mechanic today. He thinks it is a wiring fault The fault happens maybe once every couple of days. If you turn the car off and back on its fine for another day or 2. Sometimes if you put in neutral and back to drive it sometimes clears it I asked why the change of fluids originally and it was there wasn't a fault listed and it was the cheaper and quickest way to see the state of clutch gearbox by replacing the fluid. If loads of metal came out it would be properly broke Does this make sense ?
  2. The oil used was G052512A2 - I am sure he knows what he is doing. Not sure about the Software update I will check the 34F7 and I did check the recall actions against the VIN T
  3. I have a 2012 VRS Fabia it has done only about 20K miles! A couple of weeks ago the dsg box started playing up. going up a hill it got "stuck" in 4th I had a service and had the gearbox oil etc changed. Yesterday I was driving got to a junction and tried to pull off but nothing happened the car said D but no gear number next to it. I rebooted the car (turn it off and on again and it was fine I have the following errors P0841 Transmission fluid pressure sensor switch a circuit range / performance - INTERMITTENT P0841 Transmission gluid pressure sensor switch a circuit range / performance - INTERMITTENT 177F Hydraulic unit supply pump motor - Permanent I am reading lots of faults about the gearbox and some eye watering costs! Could it just be a sensor or pump? TIA Tim
  4. So the software can make the latch rise from an attached computer but not lower. Would there be a software update from Skoda that would effect the boot control module / ecu special control module
  5. 00380 special vehicle control module J608 no signal no communication
  6. Cheers anything else that may cause the boot to not be pulled close
  7. Good Afternoon I have a 2010 Superb twindoor elegance dsg I have an intermittent issue with the boot mechanism. it intermittently works. I have replaced the wiring loom 3 times and the boot switch once does anyone else have any other ideas? How far back in the headlining is the connection to the boot? Am I missing something? Please help this is just so annoying Cheers T
  8. Guys thanks for all of your responses. The car dealership has offered a full refund, it was consuming about 2l of oil per 1000Ks Now I have the task of finding another with the same spec.. guessing this could take a while
  9. Cheers Guys, I think I am using about 1l per 600 miles so over double that. Am now debating whether to ask for my money back or get it fixed..
  10. Good afternoon people. Does anyone know what the skoda official acceptable oil consumption on a 2011 1.8 TSI Yeti is. I am in discussions with a non skoda dealer who said 1l for every 1200 miles is acceptable. I look forward to your responses Many thanks T
  11. Good Evening, I have a 2010 Superb twindoor elegance dsg I have an intermittent issue with the boot mechanism. it intermittently works. Then main fault is when closing in hatchback mode the motor does close the lid. I have replaced the motor mechanism so that is fine. I would appear to have an issue somewhere (i am guessing around the hatchback closure and the roof lining with a wire or 2) Before tearing the car apart - literately I was wondering if someone could help with some or all of the following: Where is the ECU that controls the boot closure (is this under the front windscreen?) Does anyone have have a copy of the wiring diagram (with ECU pin numbers) so I can test the individual continuity of the wires? Are there any joins in the wiring loom that can easily be replaced? Anyone done this before? Many thanks for looking and hopefully answering my call for help Cheers Tim
  12. Cheers Triggerfish, I thought it was too good to be true its the 1st one a 6K GP01 (6K2) facelift (1999-2002) I will continue my quest for a cheap drivers seat: Thanks again T
  13. Guys, Hope someone can help can the seats from a 2001 ibiza be easily transplanted into my '53 Fabia VRS? There is a hole in the seat where the spring has worn through and the seat rocks due to some worn rivets, So I have decided it needs replacing and am looking at the various options. I understand that the polo/ibiza and fabia share the same floorplan etc but this is a slightly older model ibiza so not sure if they changed the seating subframe. Thanks in advance T
  14. I have a MK1 Fabia VRS and the heating / air con only works on full hot or full cold, which occasionally gets stuck on hot. Where should I start looking? Cheers in advance TT
