Hi all, I'm looking to get a set of roof bars for my VRS and was just wondering whether the Octavia Estate one's would fit on the fabia or is this a stupid idea?! If anyone has any roof racks for Mk1 Fabia or suitable in the Hampshire / Wiltshire / Dorset areas I would be very interested in buying them off you

Hi guys, Iv'e been very stupid and have lots my locking wheel nuts on my VRS. I have a sneaky suspension I binned them by accident a month ago and now my tyres need replacing. Has anyone been in a similar position / could advise on what's best to do. I was going to phone the main dealership but didn't want to get ripped off without asking people on here first. Many thanks in advance

I certainly agree with this previously its been a nightmare driving around people who just can't drive in the snow! I had to rescue a stranded ambulance a previous year that was stuck half way up the hill the lady driving it couldn't get it up the hill I drove it first time there's nothing quite like driving an ambulance with the lights and siren on when you aren't an paramedic! Appreciate all the comments think i'm going to go down the route of some decent winter tyres probably continental's although I have Michelins on atm which are probably more than sufficient in the winter.

Hi all, Having not run a Fabia VRS in the winter time before and seeing reports that we could be due snow this winter I was wondering what people's experiences are with these in the cold weather? My other car is a 335d Touring which I don't want to use in the snow for obvious reasons although I get the impression I may need to get winter tyres for the skoda? Sorry if this has been asked before but not having run mine before in heavy snow I was hoping someone could enlighten me Thanks

Price on Gearknob and gaiter posted?

Very impressed with the service and for beating my renewal quote on a healthy margin. Also insured my Favorit through yourselves as the policy was £200 cheaper than anywhere else! I'm very impressed and hopefully I will keep using you guys in future Thanks

BEST/CHEAPEST YOUNG DRIVERS INSURANCE FABIA VRS MK1?
pierst1 replied to Josh24VRS's topic in Insurance & Legal Issues
Cheapest for me was £550 with my wife on the policy at 23 with 4 years NCB this was with quote me happy 2 no fault accidents. -
Well the VRS seems perfectly capable but don't think i want to risk it for the potential of having insurance not cover in the event of an accident happening..... Quite glad this has been brought up as otherwise i would be totally oblivious!

Gearknob and gaiter available?

This is rather worrying. I have been using my VRS to tow a box trailer sometimes quite heavily loaded for a while now. It seems more than capable at doing the job as well. Car came with a tow bar when I bought it. How likely are the police to enforce this though? Surely they don't carry around a list of cars that aren't approved? Totally ignorant to this fact and my previous Bora 100pd could tow but it was certainly more difficult than with the fabia.... Sounds like i'm going to have to remove the tow bar and sell my trailer........

Ok so if I replace that it might solve the problems Thanks

No it doesn't always work when you open the door only the door card lights
