  1. Thanks for the replies; problem sorted, was just a fuse in the end Regards to all
  2. Hello There is an old thread out there on this subject but it only had one reply and was posted a couple of years ago so time to start the thread again. My sensors stopped working a couple of days ago and when I checked I found that the reversing lights were also not working. I've checked the book but the fuse card explanation doesn't bear much resemblance to the card behind the panel where the fuses live. The old thread indicated that it might be a sensor in the gearbox. Does anyone have any advanced ideas?
  3. Thanks for the replies thus far, the engine is the 2.5TDI. Fresh quote in this morning from local garage is £620 to do all the belts including water pump plus £190 for full service. It doesn't seem to come in any cheaper at least not around here
  4. Hello I've just been fishing around for a quote for an 80K service plus cambelts on my late 2002 superb. So far, the local Skoda dealer quoted 650 and an independent has come in at 620. The independent mentioned the DPF was due changing at this mileage (Skoda garage never mentioned it) Is one being led up the garden path? Does a car of this age even have one as they seem to have mainly come in around 2006? All advice gratefully received
  5. Thanks for the reply; I had already stripped the boot out, had a look after your post and saw the drains straight away, funny how easy they are to find once you know what you're looking for! Will check the state of them tomorrow although at a glance they look fine but will shove a wire up to make sure. If they're in good order I'm guessing that the bumper might be coming off next. Is it a big/difficult job?
  6. Hi Just read your post with interest as I'm having the same problem. I haven't checked to see if the rear sunroof drains are blocked yet (do you have to remove the wheel and arch trim to get to them?) I have identified that water seems to get in after its been jet washed via a very small rubber bung located below the light cluster and wondered if this indicated some form of water build up behind the bumper. Is there a post for the removal of the bumper? I've got a copy of the maintenance manual but the diagrams are less than clear Here's hoping Regards
  7. Evening all (no, not a copper or a Dixon of Dock Green fan) Gosh, guess that shows my age already!!!!!!! Had a Skoda Superb since April and have generally enjoyed ownership of it. I've perused the forum on occasion, especially when the interior lights started to go off, one by one and the extent of the problem was revealed. Questions to ask so will be busy raising them in the correct place. Regards to all.
