  1. I went to a smaller garage... They couldn't give me a loan car (under their age, apparently) and still couldn't fix it. Plus I had to take time off work to even get it there... Vindis kindly let someone drive it with a diamond ring on their left hand, which has left considerable damage to my rear passenger door and the gear stick... Which makes me wonder what they did with my car when they had it nearly two weeks. Thankfully, I'm getting a work van in a few weeks... So I may just get rid of the car at a loss.
  2. Try telling vindis that... Backwards isn't the word
  3. My bolero does the same... New unit in the glovebox, didn't fix it.
  4. I've got a 100w electronic air horn, haven't got around to fitting it yet.
  5. Thought I'd update this. Ombudsman ignored all evidence I gave them, and ruled in VWFS favour. Cars still broken, vindis had it for nearly two weeks ending last week. Replaced the head unit, touch screen is now broken. Power drain is still there, and they said if it comes back they'll replace the battery and charge me for it (£200+vat!) Still blaming the camera system, even though it's removed... And SUK have told me I can't hard wire it, but I can hard wire a tracker if I like... Logic. There's none. Also if I attempt to do so it'll void the warranty for the electrical system. But I'm free to do so as its my car, apparently. Also DPF was investigated as it regens every 150miles and has soot in the tail pipes. Normal too apparently. I was told it's even normal if it constantly regenerates as its down to "driving style". Best bit? Someone opened one of my doors wearing a diamond ring while it was with them, you can imagine the carnage. I'd be better off banging my head against a wall.
  6. Sorry, been off here for a long time! Yeah, I was forced into giving good scores. Same as I am when it's in for warranty work (they don't even get me to do them anymore come to think of it)
  7. My bonnet, bumper and windscreen are full of chips! Worst car I've ever had for it.
  8. My last car was a golf mk4 vr6 with solid engine mounts, no cats and no silencers. On rock solid springs and dampers. At the end of its life it developed a misfire when cold, it was fun. Vibrations don't really bother me. What does bother me is feeling the engine flopping around on the standard mounts. And that god awful wheel hop.
  9. I know the aftermarket ones for the defender blow the heat from the heat sinks forward onto the inside of the headlamp. Not sure if seat do this, but I wouldn't be surprised. There's quite a lot of heat to dissipate with LEDs still.
  10. I'm on the war path today. Emailed the story over to autoexpress, given the ombudsman an ear (email) full of my opinion, and emailed the head of skoda UK. I bet I get ignored again.
  11. I got 85mpg average from my 2.0tdi SE on the way home from work once. My long term average is ~50mpg
  12. My cars just special. At the 20k service a few weeks ago the dealer did their standard battery life test and its lost about half its useable life. It got delivered to me in March 2014 to replace the car I bought in December 2013... Luckily I drive it long distance daily, so it's only a problem if I get laid up sick for a few days, as I discovered recently. I will stop hijacking now.
  13. My battery dies after two or three days parked up!
  14. Mine still have the paint on after 15months and 20,000miles! That is seriously bad.
