Can this be a call for new clutch plates??

In my 2006 octavia 2 automatic it starts fine.bt within few yard it start flashing prnds n gears dont shift.earlier it had problem in manifold flap motor in which egr value is not working.i didnt get that repiared.is it a new problem or flapmotor problem?

i own a automatic L&K laura (octavia 2).there was a problem with a cam shaft.therefore i got it replaced along with the eight cups.i also got the car serviced. now car works fine but with lower fuel efficiency.earlier it used to give 24 26 kmpl at 70 km/h when in 6th gear.now it just gives 17 or 18 at max.also the car take 2 and 4 gear too long.many times they go across 3000 rpm to change.i told my frnd.he say it can be the injection of fuel is simply increased by mechanic.so the fuel efficiency is low and and takes more rpm to change. i will visit the mechanic bt first wish to know your all opinion about this. thnk you all

brother they are in uk n m in india. if u add up the taxes n make a estimate bill it will be more than a new unit.

price is about 50% of new unit(or less) say if i get a unit from 2008 model, will it work fine on my 2006 model?

i have a faulty mechatronic should i buy a new one or a used one from scrap dealer.?

thanks for the concern mannyo. they connected the car to computer which gave error pressure control solenoid open or short to earth (or any thing similar). and by the way what u think should do. skoda agency or private mechanic? there is a huuuuuge difference in repair cost.

Hi everyone i have a skoda laura auto L&K.fewdays back prnds started flashing suddenly.i made it to a private garage.he told me that it is a porblem in gateway(CANBUS).will cost about 12 to 16000 rupees for reappear else 50,000 for replacing it with working gateway of a crash car,but there is no garranty or warranty for the work.latter i went to skoda agency.they said it is a mechatronic unit problem and need a replacement.this will cost arround 2lacs rupees .they will provide me with a warranty of 2 years. now the problem is i search the internet and noticed that users having mechatronic unit problem,there car is not moving at all.no reverse no 1st gear no 2nd gear.whereas in my case there is no reverse.it takes 1 gear then across 4000 rpm it takes 3 gear.the same point was noticed by private car garage mechanic.he said he can fix it.there is some moisture in gateway unit.the mechatronic is all right.i think his point is right bt he is giving no g/warranty. so plz help me asap plz plz
