  1. Hi there guys. I have a problem with the right hand side headlight on my Octy vRS. (OEM Xenon Headlight) After i washed my car a couple of days ago, noticed the headlight got completely foggy and clearing very slow. I ran the lights on for some time but the lower half of the headlight is still foggy. What could be the problem? I must say that a couple of months ago, i cleaned both lens of the headlights but i made sure the seal on the back is fine. Any ideeas?
  2. There might be split vacuum lines, bad N75 valve and other vacuum related components.
  3. The psssst sound you are experiencing might come from the K&N filter.
  4. Well coil packs can cause problems and not missfire. Try to find some swaps and have a go.
  5. Coil packs? Spark plugs? Got those checked?
  6. Hi there guys. I have a problem with water getting into the passenger side footwell (EU Octy VRS - LHD) and decided to replace my right side (above polen filter) scuttle panel because it had a few broken parts that go into the windscreen groove. I purchased a second hand scuttle panel from a UK spec Octy but i noticed that it doesn't have that wind deflector that comes above the polen filter once fitted. I attached some pics in order to clarify. Does anybody know what that wind deflector does? Will there be a problem i leave it with the UK spec one? (no deflector) This is how mine looks (with the deflector) This is how the UK spec one looks (without the deflector) Sorry about the pics quality..
  7. I don't have any links because they were purchased from the garage where the mod was done. The tip is Magnaflow, the pipe is standard stainless.
  8. Hi there Paul. The pipe size is standard, no increase or decrease in size. 63mm i think it is.
  9. Here. Best tutorial you can get. Exactly the same as Octy
  10. As stated in many other topics, MAF, coilpacks, spark plugs, split pipes, N75 valve. Check the above.
  11. Did you try turning it off and on again? Just kidding. Try unplugging the battery. See if that works. Leave it for a few minutes.
  12. Full service you say? What did they do to it? Problems started after the service right?
  13. Might be the antenna leaking. A friend of mine had this problem.
  14. Yes it is. Search youtube for cleaning starter engine and you will find plenty of tutorials. Good luck!
  15. Try unplugging the MAF sensor and give it a go.
  16. Check the sensor for the coolant. Common problem. Do you have the green one installed?
  17. If this is the sound you are hearing, then the starter is the problem. General problem for Mk1 / Mk4 Golfs, Bora, etc
  18. Yes they do get worst in cold weather because the grease gets thicker and lubricates harder.
  19. Is it a high pitched sound that stops shortly after the engine starts? If that is the case, the starter must be taken apart, cleaned up and greased well with high temp red grease. This did the trick for me for one year and counting. Recording the problem and uploading to YT will help.
  20. Yes this one of the reasons why the windows get foggy. I need to seal my polen filter housing as well.
