  1. @TMB Right! That's what puzzles me. Morover, there's a guy on Serbian Skoda forum who claims he has also ONLY ASR button on the dash and his code is also has 1AP on Fabia Estate Confort 1.4 16v 74 kw. I bought my car from Germany and I suppose I can trust manual(right?)? All the other codes are OK, everythiong matches...Since I bought used car I cannot be certain what's there and what's not. There are some extra equipment here like parking aid in the back. Can it be that they did put ESC but they left ASR button in case you want switch off only ASR?
  2. Saw it, did it, checked it, and that is why I'm here. I didn't want to ask about correctness of the service book/owners manual there, since it's a topic about build codes. My question is: How can it be that I have only ASR button on the dash while my owners manual, service plan book, boot sticker all say that I have 1AP = Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with electromechanical brake booster?
  3. Do you all think that option codes for my car must be correct? I've got 1AP = Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with electromechanical brake booster I haven't got ESP button I have only ASR instead. So, do I have ESC/ESP or not? I've driven this car for about 15k kms and I haven't had any situation that should require ESP. The car is Fabia 1.9 TDi Estate 2004 Elegance
  4. @Lee01 Thanks for the answer, but I knew that. What I don't know is the difference(if there is any) between ESC and ESP and wheather my car really has got that, i.e can I trust this code in the booklet? I saw some mk1 Fabias with ESP and thay had a button on the dash instead of that ASR button.
  5. 1AP = Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with electromechanical brake booster I have this code in my Service booklet, so I have ESC on my car? I ask it beacause I don't have any button to switch it on/off on the dashboard, I only have ASR? I heard somewhere that only mk 1 Fabias that had this option were vrs, but my fabia is 1.9 TDI 74 KW estate version(elegance).
  6. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/121966-official-fabia-documentation-available-for-dowload-from-skoda-auto-as/ Some radios don't require code since it's already in the board computer, but some do require it. From my experience, if you do have the original service booklet and there isn't any code for the radio there, then you probably don't need it. At least that was my case. My battery died completely and I don't have any code in my booklet, but as soon as I changed the battery and switched the ignition on, it decoded by itslef.
  7. I've just found an old article about mk1 Fabias and in the car security section it says:''...elegance models add alarm to car security...'' Here's the article:http://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/cartestreports/2005059.html So, can anyone confirm that?
  8. Hi. I didn't want to open new topic since my question is related to this one. Does anyone knows do all Elegance mk. 1 Fabias have factory alarm system? My 2004 1.9 TDI hasn't got one. I'm the second owner, the previous one just said that it hasn't got an alarm system. So, I wonder has it been pulled out or there are Elegance Fabias that doesn't have it preisntalled? P.S. Best regards everyone since this is my first post.
