Something of a landmark occurred late last Friday for my little Furby. So much so that I took a picture! Joolz

Was back at Bamfords for the 100K mile service and (2nd) MOT on my trusty Furby. Excellent service as always - within minutes of me handing over the keys the car was in the MOT bay, a courtesy call a couple of hours later advised that the car was ready. :thumbup: I was given change from 300 quid :thumbup: - not bad I thought - and the Furby passed it's MOT without incident :thumbup:. Had a pleasant chat with Mr Bamford himself - unusual for the owner of a main dealership to be chatting to customers I would think, but indicative of his own and his company's friendly approach to service. Had a more lengthy chat with Craig (Service Manager) who reassuringly is a genuine car enthusiast - about last weeks Wyedean rally. I'm really hoping the Mk 2 Furby vRS is worth the wait as I don't fancy swapping brands and getting cr*p service from a different main dealer.

I must say I agree with Patxon. Craig has always been very helpful and has gone out of his way to provide a good service as has the Bamford's Chief Spanner-man Brian (See previous comments in this thread). With the miles I do, my vRS is serviced 3 times a year there and I've never had a problem with them. :thumbup:

Thanks all for the advice. Due to the power pack for the xenons, vertical alignment kit etc, everything is very fiddly to get at so it could be at least one of the covers has not been replaced correctly. Took the car over to the local dealer today. They advised me to take the headlight out, take off the covers and dry it out. (Its no longer under warrantee so I won't get them to do it as yet). But without having a close look in daylight, I'm not sure if I'm really up to the job! Will keep you posted Joolz

Doesn't appear that condensation in headlights has been discussed for a while! One of my factory xenons is well misted-up and the headlight doesn't get hot enough to dry it out! Any ideas? Note: At the moment my headlights are on almost constantly during my 1 hour each way commute, so leaving them on for a long time doesn't seem to work!! Joolz

Wouldn't be without my G5 iMac, now running Leopard (OS X - 10.5). Quicker than the equivalent PC (Even boots up quicker), more robust (Crashes are few and far between), it's pretty stylish and most importantly, its not a PC!

Me again - This time the 90k service at Bamfords. As usual, excellent friendly (and quality) service. Circa 360 quid for a service plus replacement rear discs & pads. By my reckoning that's not too bad although you could get cheaper - but in my book you mainly get what you pay for. Joolz

More excellent service from Bamfords today when they had to replace 2 wheels and 2 tyres after I hit a large piece of wood on the M5 yesterday. Very reasonably priced and first class service turning the car round in a day without any prior appointment

Stunning! A bit quicker than the Mk1 1300E I owned back in the late '80s Would love a Mk 1 RS2000 or Mexico:- but they're now fetching serious money....

Just had the 80K service done today by Bamfords on my Furby vRS. As usual their customer service was excellent with Mark standing in for Craig. As the Service included timing belts and new front brakes, the bill would have been eye-watering :eek: had I not been prepared for it for a few months. I could have got it done cheaper by an independent, but I believe the extra cost to be worth it for the Dealer Stamp and the piece of mind you get when dealing with a company like Bamfords.
