  2. Got mine today, Jason. Very, very well packaged, but no breakages!!!! Thanks
  3. Well, change of role at work and more miles to travel, the Megane at a running average of 27.9mpg has had to go. That has put me firmly in the hands of a VAG diesel, and I will be a Skoda owner once more on the 24th. I have chosen a vRS, but the Fabia this time. I will be sorting my Freedom membership out in due course and and then looking at a few tweaks, perhaps starting with the PD160 intake and then a remap. Not that I ever really left, I've always been skulking on the background, but it's good to be back /P

  5. And here was me looking at getting a motorway cruising diesel................and a PD130 would be ideal. If you do decide to, you can always let me know.........
  6. Has anyone had any experience of these??? I managed to warp them with no problems, I assumed they were of a lighter metal so replaced with some others which have been fine. /P
  7. I heard the thing about the sat-navs a while ago, never really took much notice. I have now programed home as the major intersection that I have to cross no matter which direction I am coming from. Also have the Renault equivalent of anti-hijack enabled as well. I wonder whether having some old banger of a vehicle with an engine transplant is the new Q-car?!?!? /P
  8. Used to have one of them, great car and reasonably quick too....but oh so comfortable!!! Oh, and I think the signature below says where I stand on the Megane issue
  9. Got mine the other morning, thanks:thumbup: Is there any more Andy????? I was applying it this morning and had a few requests I'll have some more for a reserve. /P
  10. I had exactly the same problem........ I spotted it at the 20k ish mark and reported it, had all four wheels changed at the 30k service under warranty. They tried the "It's the acidic cleaners you use" and "They must be chipped" but anyone that knows me will testify I don't need any acidic cleaners as they are anally cleaned weekly, and in some cases sooner. It took the area manager to see them, and he authorised the replacement. Mine was a 2003 vRS and it strikes me as they may have been a batch problem if there are ours with non wear and tear corrosion. Keep trying is my advice, although I was still in warranty at the time. /P
  11. I'll have a pair.....please Tried the CarPlan equivient but It's lasted 5k at most. I'll have whenever you have it Andy!!! Ta
  12. WRT Knight Rider: I seem to recall an compound being sprayed over KITT that made him lose is indestructability....and at the end he was made into a cabrio??!?!?! Am I dreaming this???
  13. I got rid of my Octy vRS mainly due to the 'customer service' here. I was so enraged by them that I didn't replace it with a VAG car, never mind a Skoda!!!! :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn:
  14. No......I just read this and took the decision to buy.
  15. It's item 320021320924. As you see from the question at the bottom, there are light scratches. I'm now told there is kerbing to one of the wheels and they are pulling the item. :thumbdwn:
  16. Hmmmmm, I just that I specifically picked them out and bid on them.......I wanted them. I have now got to just let them withdraw them??!?!?!?!? 'Repair them' and relist them only for me to go through the whole process again!!!! I said I don't mind the 'extra' damage. Will have to see if they answer my mails now. I will certainly give them negative feedback, I think!!! /P
  17. Hope someone can point me to the correct solution. I have purchased a set of four wheels, with tyres, off of ebay. I won the auction and met the reserve. The seller has now said that there are a few more scratches than were described, and isn't going through with the sale. They are going to alledgedly repair and then relist the set. I believe it only just met the reserve as I placed a higger bid but the final price went green at this lower price. What am I entitled to????? The wheels on being repaired, sold to me for the end price of the auction??? Is it OK to just say "Sorry, they were not as described, going to repair and relist"??? Do I have grounds for negative feedback and a comment backing it up???? I have written saying that I don't mind the change in condition, as I want them for track use anyway?? Please help, not that experienced at ebay if things go other than perfect?!?!?
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but with this being a motor racing circuit, I thought all pets, including droopy the lop eared doe, were not allowed?!?!?!? /P
  19. I'm always never at home;) Not seen Vern around for a while!!! Without the nitty-gritty, kid sister's ex, sis wants out, so we do a night run and she's back home....end of, or so we thought. That was the new year. Some good advice, will look at all of these with an open mind, even get all going simultaneuosly!!! Many Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated. If anything else comes to mind I will be watching!!!! Ta /P
  20. Thanks for those replies, I especially like the last one!!!! The PCSO has been round but there is nothing they can do, or are willing to do. The injunction idea came from them but it's the proof before/proof after that lets it down. The main house is about 1km from the other two, who are a couple of streets apart. My Grandparents are now wired for vision too, so will have to see. The cuplrit lives around the corner from the other two, so is a little close for comfort for them. He is a complete coward when you confront him, then chooses to hide in the shadows and throw things and then skuttle off. I just want a solution that will keep him away, and not go to his level to do it. Any other opinions???? I wouldn't have the heart to attach pictures of the Octy as she looks now :( All those years of taking care of it, washing and polishing........looks like it was never looked after now, after the windscreen, rear screen, passenger window, brick on bonnet and brick on the roof, not to mention half my Milotec grills disappearing.
  21. As a well educated lot I was wondering if any of you could help with a little legal matter I have going on. Not to bore everyone with the nitty-gritty of it all (unless you feel it's necessary for a solution), here it is: Someone has an 'objection' to my family and is repeatedly putting car windows through, slashing tyres, bricks at car paintwork and bricks at house windows. I have installed a multi-camera CCTV system that now covers all approaches to the house, 'they' can not get near without being seen. However, maybe because of this the direction of the events has moved to my Grandparents, and understandably this is taking it to entire new level. So now there are multiple properties being targetted, also including my Brother's house. What can we do??? To get an injunction we first have to have several sightings , and then we have to catch him at it afterwards!!!! Any legal gurus, people had the same experience??? Anyone...please, this is making people very ill with worry. I appreciate any advice, anything. Cheers
  22. I'll pop along too!!! 1) Jason - Devonutopia, 1 entry, 1 stand, 1 track
  23. Sorry Q, my speed reading course must have been a waste of time:D If I can get the car off the Skoda stand onto the Meganesport stand, can I book just the track time with you lot. I fancy my chances better if there are people I know belting round the track, and lessening the odds of Corsa-boy braking late into the back of me etc!!!!! Of course I'll come and show my mug around the stand, would like a closer look at some of these cars I keep reading about anyway. I'll consult SWMBO and then decide if it's one or two. Ta,
