  1. All, Does anyone have the P/N and cost for the bonnet sound insulation? Taa! EDIT: Ignore me I found it: 5E0863831 Sound absorber for engine lid 8E0863727A Retaining clips. 13 pieces required if not already included in the above
  2. My 2013 Renault Megane (company car, dont hate me!) had speed camera alerts as standard. However it was tomtom branded.
  3. Aah you just made me remember the good times I had with my mk4 golf! The bulbs could be replaced with hand contortion and loss of most of the skin on your hands! The more fun stuff with the mk4 was the spontaneously dropping windows because of plastic clips and the door lock 'issue', but i loved my mk4... remind me, why im getting a VRS?
  4. I'm not sure of the exact dealer although its someone in Southampton. (ive ordered through a lease company so not had to deal with any dealers myself so far!). Thanks Ben!
  5. Apparently my VRS has landed in the docks in the UK... White Estate Manual with black pack & cruise. Wont stand out from the crowd i dont think! Whats the usual ETA on getting to a dealer once its landed in the UK? itching to get my bloody car!!
  6. Id have thought the lease company your going through can supply a temp car of equivalent size while you wait. Especially if its a hard date for your current car to be returned. Mine did no problem.
  7. Any reviews of the 184 TDI people want to share? You dont really get the feel of an engine (IMO) in a test drive. Only really get to know the engine and how it really performs after a few days of constant driving, getting to know when best to change gears etc. My test drive was such a long long time ago i can hardly remember! Cant even have another go as my local dealer has sold their VRS demo :( If anyone can compare it to the recent 140 and 170 VW CR engines that would be really helpful too! Mark
  8. Im getting my VRS on a personal lease, was originally quoted provisional build week 21 after the car was ordered mid december... Called them yesterday afternoon to see how things were moving and the build week had been removed, nothing on the system. Left it with them and they've found a cancelled order for pretty much the same car (VRS Estate, White, Black Pack, Cruise), confirmed build week 16, so hopefully should be delivered the start of May. Not much help to anyone who ordered in December though! sorry.
  9. Thats what I thought. The description that it comes as standard made me doubt myself though... thanks!
  10. Hi Guys, I was a click away from buying the boot netting kit from here: http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Boot_Netting_System_-_Black_%28OCT3%29_5E0017700A but noticed in the description it says: "Information: Black in Colour - supplied with your brand new vehicle as standard." Is this the case with VRS estates in the UK? I thought it was an extra and not standard? Mark
  11. I thought the fact it would need to be enabled on the car by skoda sort of limits this at the moment, and as far as I'm aware, it's still a deal breaker at the moment. I'm sure I read that a user on here eventually sold his unit as the dealership couldn't even fit it in the end and skoda uk were little to no help? I'm sure in the future it will be solved by someone though. Mark
  12. It was on my diesel scirocco so I'd have thought so
  13. Don't have my vrs yet but if it works the same way as the scirocco.. Clutch down, put it in 1st, foot on the floor with the accelerator and the revs should stop at 2000rpm ish rather than to the red. Dump the clutch (be brave!) and there you go!
