  1. Having said that though I might be able to use a relay as 2 positives to the relay won't open it, but when the negative comes on it should then operate the relay. Which will give me the make and break circuit I need. Thank you for your help I may have just answered my own question there though lol
  2. Yes your right one of the outter pins is a permanent negative the middle is permanent positive. The other outter pin the door control. When the door is closed its positive and when door open negative. The after market unit I have installed can switch the light on with either negative or positive trigger. So the switch is fine for the OE light but not for the unit I've installed as it will be on all the time.
  3. Having a little issue with electrics. I need to find either a live or negative that breaks circuit when doors are shut. I have tested the interior light, when door is open the trigger is negative when shut it is positive. The reason I'm after one that breaks circuit is I have fitted a roof mounted tv with lights built in. Unfortunately it works with negative or positive trigger. So wirin up to current interior light would leave the lights on permently. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  4. Don't know whether anyone would be interested in an event I'm attending. Good chance to show your car off and help a good cause. Last year saw over 200 cars and bikes and over 2000 people. The show is based at Stanborough Park, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL8 6DQ. It is themed on anything with an engine which means that it should tick all the right boxes for the paying public and also makes the event interesting for exhibitors. The show is a charity event which all proceeds raised is donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, link to the website as follows: http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/ www.hertsautoshow.co.uk/ Email : [email protected] for tickets (which are free to exhibitors)
