Hi all, Still getting to grips with all the new kit, but wondered if it was possible to have a picture on the screen instead of the menus and such? like it times out to a picture after a selection or when the unit is off it displays a picture maybe? Any ideas?

Hi all, Just got the call to say the car is ready for collection, ordered mid May, didn't spec any real options other than Quartz Grey paint and the Smartlink (done at the dealer) so will be picking it up at 2:30 I'll update with pictures when she's home.

I usually use a toothbrush/nail brush and diluted APC (depending on the area) then treat with your chosen plastic gloss/protector

I've got a similar issue, my vRS is due to arrive a week (i hope!) before i take the family down to Cornwall for two weeks, so i'll have a 300 mile trek at motorway/a road sort of speeds so how is it best to tackle that?

I've been wondering this, and just wondered why it has to be done by a dealer? once you have the code, could it not be done by the user or via VCDS?

I went for the PCH option on mine as i liked the idea of paying a cheaper monthly and just handing it back at the end. Just FYI, my local dealer managed to better the current Simpsons PCH deal by a couple of quid, and contributed to the deposit for me to keep the numbers right. On a VRS manual estate i got it down to the usual £2190 deposit (my dealer contributed £390 to this,on paper it was £2580) and £206 a month, which after months of looking around at all sorts of cars seemed to be the best bang per buck.

Placed my order on the 11th May, got my build date given yesterday of week 26 (w/c 27th June) they're saying 4 weeks max after that to arrive so fingers crossed it'll be here w/c 25th July Quite excited!

Hi all, Placed my order last night for my first Octavia, went for the quartz grey in the end with red accents on the seats, apparently they're working on 12-14 weeks but i'm hopeful they'll pull this forward.. Should have a build date by friday im told I've been reading through various threads about the VCDS tweaks and such so i think that'll be the next thing to get prepared, and to try and find someone local who'll do the mods!

Oh man, im glad i went that way! It looks lovely, i went to tet drive one yesterday and they had a L&K in the showroom in quartz, i knew then it was the way to go! Placed the order last night, should hopefully get the build details on friday Thanks all!

Hi all, I'm just about to push the button on ordering my first Octavia and like most, am torn as to which colour to go for! I like the racing blue, and the rallye green, but i do kinda like the classy look of the quartz grey with the chrome and red highlights on the seats.. But. I've looked and searched and cant find many decent pictures of an estate in this colour! Am i missing something? i did a search in the gallery and it came up with nothing :( are there any threads anyone can point me towards with pictures in to help me decide?!
