  1. I have driven around, turned the car on and off for hours today. Starts every time. For now, I will conclude that it was bad wiring somewhere in the connectors going to the ECU. I soaked the connectors in electrical spray. Fingers crossed that it will run for a while now 🤞 Thanks to all of you that have contributed 😃
  2. Thank you! If you have info on ecu wiring for BKC, I would appreciate it. It might be the same.
  3. Ok, I will leave it sealed I disconnected the ECU again and sprayed the connectors with electronic spray. It started right up after. Will leave it like this until tomorrow and see if it starts. It might be the wiring to the connectors. It is hard to see because they are stiff and bundled together, and I dont want to risk breaking the wires by moving them too much.
  4. Hehe! I got the ECU out. The terminals and connectors look good. I will check the wires going into the connectors tomorrow in day light. Do you have any experience opening the ECU itself and clean it with alcohol?
  5. True! Well. Now it did not start again. Knocked on the ECU with a screw driver and then it started
  6. Update: mechanic diagnose it with VCDS. No errors came up and the car started like normal. Great! I tried to start it a few hours later.. Nothing, same symptoms as before. While I got towed, I tried to start it several times, and suddenly it starts. What the heck? When the car does not want to start, the ESP light, lights. Problem kinda sorted, but not really. Now I cant trust the car to start.
  7. And thanks for the tip! The fusebox looks flaweless, but I will check it. Relay 100 is working, tested it yesterday. But off course, corrosion can be a possibility.
  8. Thanks for your input! Do you happen to know where to find wiring diagrams?
  9. Thank you for all your replies. A mechanic is coming by today or tomorrow with vagcom. He think it May be the ECU because it has been snowing and melting and freezing lately.
  10. Tried disconnection battery, flashing lights etc. Did not work.
  11. Thank you! I will try that 😀
  12. Still not starting. Added info: it is - 1 celsius outside and the motor fans start running a few seconds after i put the ignition on. They are running harder than normal, I think. Dont know if this is normal or related to my starting problem.
  13. Can wrong timing or camshaft sensor result in the fuel pump not getting power?
  14. Fuse 15 is ok. Checked all relays under the steering wheel, all of them ok. My friend was here with a disgnodtic tool, but it failed to connect.
  15. Yes, they key lock and unlocks the door. A friend of mine is coming over with a scanning tool now, but it is a chewp one, so or may or may not find the fault.
  16. However, the is still not starting. ESP light is still on and the glow light is still not coming on...
  17. I checked power at the input connection, no power. Do you know where I can find the schematics for the fuel pump?
  18. I put 12v directly to the pump in the tank and the pump works. Now what?
  19. Thanks! I will do that after work today
  20. I lifted the back seat and removed the Black cover. No sound when ignition is turned on. Fuse is ok.
  21. Checked in-tank fuel pump. I can not hear any sound from it. Does that mean it is broken? Temperature is on the plus side
  22. Hi, Today, my car would not start 😑 Battery is good, and the motor turns over, but it will not start. In the dash, the light for ESP is lit constantly. The glow light is not lit at all. After several start atempt, low oil pressure alarm suddently came up in the dash as well. Any idea about what the fault can be?
  23. Oh, thought I postes in octavia. Sorry.
