  1. Hi all, I have a problem with the brakes on my Fabia Estate. The pedal is very soft an goes to the floor before it goes slightly firm. Checks made so far are as follows :- Brake fluid level in reservoir is ok. No leaks found throughout. Handbrake works ok on both rear wheels. All the brake pads are in good condition. Found that the nearside rear and the offside front calipers are not responding when the brake pedal is depressed. Even tried to bleed the system on the rear brake but not getting very much fluid coming through. It all suggests a possible issue with the master cylinder but want to confirm before tackling trying to get a second hand unit and refurbish it with a repair kit. Can anyone confirm that this is the problem and best place to get a repair kit ? Cheers
  2. Hi, the brake pedal in my 2006 skoda fabia has suddenly gone very soft. There is no obvious loss of brake fluid anywhere that I can see and there has been no recent work done to the braking system. Any suggestions as to where to start looking for the non obvious ??
  3. Yep, had the same thing with my 06 estate. Can quite easily be fixed with some basic tools and some silicone. I would recommend purchasing some of the panel retaining plastic clips before trying to remove the door panel. They are brittle due to their age and some will snap off when removing the panel so good to have spares before you start this repair.
  4. Hi peeps, our 2nd car the Fabia Estate has developed a problem with the split double rear seat. A person unknown (definately not me!) has somehow managed to return the rear back 2 seat section into an upright position and it has now got itself stuck and will not release even with a good thump. Has anyone had the same problem and found out how to sort/repair this ?
