So a small top up with distilled water has got rid of the warning light and will get some proper coolant from the dealer at the weekend - its called G13 according to the service guys

Says I'm supposed to use this one on the Halfords website Comma Xstream G40

Warning light has come on for me - only 6k miles on the clock and its just below the minimum level Is there a specific coolant I should be using for the Octy III?

I've not spotted another one down this way yetWhat colours are they? Mine is race blue

There will be a blue estate heading down the M6 tomorrow and then onto the South Coast back home to Southampton!

So really the extra c500 miles is gonna cost me £40 which is covered by the full tank of fuel Happy days

Spoke to my dealer today who said that they couldn't get the correct stalk as it was on back order from VAG so I'm gonna pick the car up Friday. Then when the parts are in they're driving a courtesy car to mine to pick up the vrs and take it back to the garage for fitting and bring it back again and leave me with a full tank of fuel (it's 260 miles one way to mine from the garage). The only real issue I have is that they'll put 520 additional miles on it doing this and my PCP is 10k which is fine for me but it might just push me over

Reassuring that! Spoke to my dealer today who said the service guys have ordered the part as they didn't have it in stock and it should be in this week so fingers crossed.

You've got me worried now! The dealer actually contacted me about doing it. I was looking at another Octavia that had CC but didn't have some other feature I wanted and he called me up and said 'I've got this other one which has everything apart from CC but I can get it fitted by the service team' I did get him to write me a letter confirming they would fit the CC for free before signing the finance contract. I better not name the dealer in case they've made a **** up!

That's interesting! I've bought an ex-demonstrator which didn't have cruise control on it and they told me they are retro-fitting it this week!

Yeah I'm getting a bit impatient waiting for it now. Hopefully pick it up next Saturday.

Has anyone managed to get one of these retrofitted yet?
