  2. Ordered vRS 2.0T (petrol), candy white, maxidot & spare wheel on 12 May 2010 dealer states build week 30 (we will see) :S
  3. Oh well, manual folding it is then, just a shame Skoda don't offer it as an option, i'm sure alot of people would choose them.
  4. Just placed my order for a new Octy FL vRS.......16 weeks to go....... :( Can anyone confirm if you press the key remote to lock the car, and hold button down, will the external mirrors fold ? or is this an option that dealer can set with VAS ? I have seen a vrs brochure with this in it http://issuu.com/publishgold/docs/newoctaviars_catalogue_eng Page 2,Nunber 5, (left hand page).
  5. Thanks all..... saves me having a battle/argument (sorry, discussion) with the dealers, only then to look the stupid one...
  6. I was thinking of ordering a new Octy II FL vRS from Drive the deal, looked at the optional extras offered, no sunset rear glass, only on the estate version...... then i come across a used hatchback on Skodas official website with sunset glass. http://www.skoda.net.r66.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=600944982# I am a litle confused, is it available or not as an option on the hatch. Anyone have this on their hatch vRS?
  7. WOW Ben that was quick !! So, how difficult? Whats needed.... Wheel, air bag, controller,?
  8. Thanks all, think i might have to get in touch with Ben.
  9. Has anyone fitted a Golf VI multifunction steering wheel to a Octy II vRS ? Been looking for some info on Google and here but come up with nothing. If so, what's involved? What extra controllers/commectors/wire looms etc are needed?
  10. Bought my first Octy 1.8T vRS Mk1 when i was 34, now on my 2nd Octy, a vRS II TFSI and creaping up to 40:eek: in February.
  11. Ah, looks like this is for the previous model 1.8 20v vRS. Shame 'cos it looked nice and simple.
  12. Not sure what the DIS is. Would like to clean out the throtle body but i think i need to have VAG-COM to reset it (which i don't have).:( Did the cage mod, no difference unfortunatly.:(
  13. Any chance you can measure the diameter and thickness of the steering wheel please? I might buy of one of the new steering wheels to fit my oct 2 vRS as i think the 1 i have is a little too big and thin, i like a chunkier wheel, a bit like the golf V GIT. Thanks.
  14. Yep, got alot of them speed bumps by me, so could well be the problem.
  15. Well it seems they all do this, some more than others, but unsure why:confused:. Had a new Golf VI 1.6 petrol as a hire car from the dealer and it too had a slight 'miss', alot less than my car, but then it's not the same engine! On a side note, i had the N/S track rod replaced by the dealer as it had play in it, now the O/S one has play in it !!! How can this be wear as i have only got 23,000 on the clock:confused:.
  16. Mine seems to do this even when i keep the revs at a steady 2000 rpm. Some times it will be a slight 'miss' about every 5-10 seconds, then another time it will be like every 1/2 a second (bit like 1 cylinder not firing). I am taking it to another dealer (Capitol Skoda, Newport) on Wed (track rod has play in it) so will ask them to look into it. Will see what happens.
  17. Anyone else got any ideas??? Or do all petrol MKII vRS do this?
  18. Mine seems to do this constantly, even without a/c on or any other device on, like radio etc. It will also 'miss' while reving the engine and the car stationary. If i rev to about 2000rpm then let my foot off the throttle it seems to give a 'silent backfire' as the revs drop. Does this help anyone diagnose the problem? And the car has only done 22,000 miles !!
  19. Anyone had /have this? On idle/tickover the engine seems to 'miss a beat', sometimes quite noticeable through the driver seat. The idle does not 'rev on it's own', just sits at aprox 750rpm. Does it when engine is cold or warmed up. I took it to local dealer, paid for a diag, but because it does not show any fault codes they don't know either! Car is under Skoda Approved Warranty, but they won't fork out for diagnostic work to be done to find what is the cause. So far i have changed the air filter, spark plugs, new PCV, cleaned the MAF and replaced all 4 coil packs. Also run some injector cleaner through it. Anyone with the same problem? Had it fixed? Any help, as it is driving me mad trying to pin it down.
  20. Just to add, the latest revision of the PCV valve cover assembly is now: 06F 129 101 L (Skoda).
  21. Went there with my Octy vRS for a 'lumpy tickover', car under warranty, they said "there is no fault, they are all like that, you should try a Renault, they are worse". Not what i wanted to hear, i wanted it fixed, so they told me to "go get a second opinion elsewhere" !!!! What an attitude.:thumbdwn: Won't be going there for any repair/service again.( I will try Capitol Skoda,Newport, maby they will be better. )
  22. I have now got my Witson unit back and it works!! I can't get iGO navigation to work :(. I go to the GPS screen, then options, press iGO.exe and tick the auto-launch box, go back to the navi screen, press navi and NOTHING happens!!! Any idea what I am doing wrong? How has everyone else installed there iGO software? Please, any help.
