Been thinking of this upgrade myself , still not sure what to go for, i do like the shape to fit models though

Am i correct in thinking you need longer bolts for any size spacer say 10mm or less ?

After a bit of guidance please, i am about to order a set of Eibach pro springs and i noticed they also do spacers, what is the best size to get, they do 5mm 8mm 10mm 12mm 15mm 18mm and 20mm i am currently running on 19" wheels and obviously don't want to go to wide in-case they rub, what size do you guys use or recommend?. Just what it says above really , anyone have them fitted any pro's or Cons?. One of my front springs is cracked and thought i may as well upgrade the lot (its a vrs tfsi estate if that makes a difference)

i have an ex police car but it was used for commuting by the officers between stations so only had 40k on it and was immaculate with full service every 6 months (never had a spot of bother with it), still 1k cheaper than others that i looked at.

mine has done this twice in the last year, put alarm on and five minutes later fan starts going full pelt, starting the car stopping starting again fixed it but still a worry. Especially the last time as i was 200 miles away from home. Both occasions have been 6 month apart.

ordered some for my pre FL and the way it would fit looks rubbish much better on the post FL model. now got a roll sitting there unused.

ignoring the stretch tyre argument (i think it looks cool by the way, but would worry about handling tyre wear etc), what would be the correct size of 19" tyres and rims for a standard no rubbing fittment?. cheers

min is a black 2008 vrs petrol esate, it is ex durham police and only had 60k on th clock, no holes in the dash or bumpers etc (used by the chiefs as apool car aparently according to the salesman). came with a full service history ,serviced every 6 months, (the reason i chose it) . only downside is minimum options added from the factory. Its been faultless so far

so why are you selling it, did it cause issues? Tempted with one myself but hear mixed reviews
