Exchanged my 14 octavia RS for a much larger and somewhat more economical Superb

Might have to keep that in mind, never happend to me so far but we are having those +3 to -5 degrees right now...

Im parking outside in the cold everyday and this happens all the time, same thing with the Superb II and the octavia vRS before that. Give it some gas and the discs will release from the pads, never had any problems with the brakes even though this happened almost every day from nov-april every year. (Better than my old Peugeot 405 MI16, had to take of a wheel and hammer the disc of the breakpad with an rubber hammer, still loved that car even though it was utterly rubbish)

Never had that problem with any car (the snow on the back) Might have to check it out next time i drive for a longer period, have the vRS and was a bit worried that the harder springs would rattle my spine to bits come winter but so far im fine! I have not got stuck anywere in the snow either but that might be down to experience and good nokian wintertires

As i usually have the backseat loaded with my pesky children the stock car is more than i actually need, so i will keep it that way atleast for now.

Yes it's the TSI DSG, works quite good actually

Have had my black vRS estate (or combi as we say here in scandinavia) for about 6 months now, and still like it alot! Got a piece of empty road (well almost empty) and tried to put the accelerator to the floor for as long as i dared. All I can say is that this car moves quite fast for an "cheap" estate chunk of metal.

I have not had one incident with roadrage here in sweden, the vrs is not as common though. Only thing I have noticed is that i get flashed by trafic going the other way at night as they think i have highbeams on(i guess it's highbeams over there in UK land?) one quick flash back with the highbeams is enough to stop them

I actually could order the adaptive cruise control and all the other guizmos from Olofsson Bil (skoda) but the waittimes were around 9-10months on those parts. Might be so long waittimes on certain parts that some countries just pull them from the optionslist to avoid unhappy clients.

Saw this yesterday when starting the car in a garage with windows that allowed the sun to shine only on the lower part of the front window on the car. Looked like a exhaustcloud boomed out of the airvents in the front, can't see it in normal light though.

That just sucks bigtime, ordered the parking assist for my wife as i live outside stockholm and is quite used to parking. But the parkassist is just awesome and i use it all the time because it really parks perfectly. The thing i couldn't order was the front radar thinghy, and i really wanted that :(

Never noticed any strange noices from my VRS until yesterday when moving quite heavy things to my new house, fully loaded estate and I get a sound almost like driving on the warningstipes (don't know if you have the roadmarks that makes noises at the sides of the motorway lane where you live though). Its alot lower than the sound you get by driving on them but annoyed the hell out of me. Unloaded the car and the noise is gone.

Yeah the pictures at skoda's dealers of the really low vrs with the Extreme alloys is quite low compared to what you acctually get in the end. I don't get the feeling the car sits to high when you see it "irl", don't know if I would lower it because it drives quite nice right now! The superb we have (for a week more) is barely more comfortable than this car, and the octavia feels quiteter inside at highway speeds than the superb, the last one might be the "this new car is awesome" setting in my mind though
