  1. The garage may charge a 3 figure hourly rate (unlikely at Skoda), but remember the Tech will only get small part of that.
  2. I know £55 is a lot of money, but if wipers cost £30 a set, £25 would be 30minutes work for a dealer, so you can see why they charge it. You’re lucky it’s not me working on your car, I’m booked out at £750/day and the customer gets charged for my travel time as well!!
  3. What happens if you have the lights in auto, but leave adaptive in manual? i still think it will be a dealer visit, unless someone scans your car for fault codes.
  4. How have you got them set? Auto on/off Auto dip/main Have you tried cleaning the screen, where the camera looks out?
  5. I’ll check mine again, but I’m sure it happens with mine. My first 2 cars had Westfalia electrics fitted and coded, the Scout has factory fitted, I know I cannot select ECO, but I often drive with steering in Sport and Gearbox in ECO and if I plug the trailer in with this mode selected the system does not disable the ECO mode.
  6. ECO mode cannot be selected when a trailer is attached, but be warned, if you have a custom drive mode selected using ECO gearbox/engine mode then you can coast with a trailer attached....
  7. You can also set it to warn if you are following too close to the vehicle in front. Gives an indication on the dash, with no audible warning.
  8. Agreed, it's a bit like checking the front door is locked before leaving the house.
  9. That's why I suggested "testing" the boot before getting back into the car.
  10. I get the warning graphic as soon as any door, boot or bonnet is opened with the ignition switched on, then get the alarm as soon as I drive off. Maybe the OP should test the boot lid before getting back into the car.
  11. Hi, no I’m not, I was however, suggesting a tongue in cheek solution to the OP’s gripe of people having their fog lights on permanently.
  12. Rather than auto cancelling the fog lights when the car is switched off, why not have an auto speed restriction built in, fog lights on, car restricted to 50MPH. Alternatively, just add a warning buzzer, sounding every 30seconds when fog lights are switched on.
  13. I would'nt have thought it would help you park anywhere, too busy looking at all the pretty colours
  14. My 66 plate 184 DSG Scout has standard Halogen lights, they work well for me, but then, I've never had anything better than halogen, and for many years I only had one halogen headlight to light up the country roads in Derbyshire.
  15. What car? How long since it’s last run? ive had both the 1.6 and 2.0 diesel and on a cold Monday morning when the car has been stood all weekend 2 - 3 miles sounds about normal to me.
  16. I do it by pressing the Pscd (or similar) button. Ive used an Amundsen since early 2014, I Drive 25k each year, and although it’s not perfect it does it’s job. I used to use TomTom, then hated Garmin when I switched, but it’s just they are different to what I was used to.
  17. I've got it on my 66 plate Scout, but have not noticed any difference, but will test this week with it on and off and report back.
  18. Just get rid now, why bother waiting until next year.
  19. Before I sold my 1st Elegance estate (a May 2014) I removed the storage box from under the passenger seat. I then fitted this to my 2015 Elegance estate with no problems. I removed it from the car before trading it in, and today tried to fit it to my Oct 2016 Scout, but it does not "sit" correctly under the seat, does anyone know if the seat pans have changed shape? Alternatively, does anyone know the correct part number for the box to fit under the passenger (LH) seat in a 2016 Octavia Scout.
  20. Try to select 2nd gear then go from 2nd to 1st, it sometimes helps to align the dogs in the box.
  21. Really, have you tried 3 weetabix for breakfast?
  22. Out of interest, how much oil shows on the dipstick when the oil level light comes on?
  23. Well, 2nd fill up completed. Car says 45.4MPG, Fuelly says 42.9MPG Not too bad for a first week with the car, I'm sure once it gets a few more miles it'll get a bit better.
  24. I could be interested if you do decide to sell the fronts.
