Hello all My Rapid's USB port had played music fine since I got it back in 2013. It was a few weeks back when it decided not to play 😥. It does detect that something (pen/flash drives) is plugged in, has a think about it and then it says "No MDI Connected". Tried 3 different pen drives but getting the same result 😥. I thought of taking out the USB module if a simple reconnect would rectify the issue but discovered the cable goes further up. So took out my Swing radio to take a look and further discovered the cable goes into the glove box 😑. Well, that was a waste of effort. I haven't took out the glove box yet (don't know how to yet) but wanted to know is that where the cable leads to? A new menu option has appeared for testing beta on Carista app. Just having a read now; was planning to email them some functions not working but beta may have fixes. http://www.caristaapp.com/beta/

Ah, only a matter of time when they update the app.Some features don't work (programmed but not working) I.e. open/close windows with remote, DRL menu on dashboard. So those need to be debugged. My mate's Octavia Mk3 says when he shifts to reverse, the passenger wing mirror automatically tilts down [emoji50] . That's a handy feature to have; suggest Carista to see if it can be done to the Rapid.

Is that on beta? Where abouts in the menu app? Is your Rapid a hatchback or Spaceback?

Is your Rapid hatchback or spaceback? I've bought the adapter off eBay and it does read with/work with other apps but I can't tweak with Carista (reads fine for diagnostic though ). Mine's a hatchback so just wanting to know if there's anyway difference. Maybe a pic of your adapter would be easier to know which one we need.

I use my own calculations each time I fill up. Made a spreadsheet sheet out of it to get an average between fuelling; I'm varying between low fifties to mid sixties. Nearly 70 on one occasion.

Sorry for a late reply. I haven't tried your method but I've devised my own solution. Initially, I wrote a batch file to robocopy files to the USB pen; it worked at first but later it didn't. So I've changed the batch file to format the pen drive and robocopy the music across every time. Takes time - yes, but it's more automated and it works this way.

Skoda replied back saying that due to how the system was built; the only way to add more files is to reformat the USB pen drive :wonder: So much for that.
