  1. Mine was delivered with the heated seats to remember the setting for an hour after the key is removed and then resets to the off setting. I asked Gizmo68 to change the settings via VCDS so that it always remembers the last setting regardless of time for both the drivers' & passengers' seats. It works great but it does mean that the driver has to check that the passenger remembered to turn the heaters off when out driving on your own. If memory serves you could vary the length of time in hours that the last setting is remembered upto 8 in total (9 being never forget).
  2. We hope to make it.... see you there. B33fy - cracking job on the shower room.... Mrs BM65 is very impressed and wonders if you give quotes - I said you were far too busy if she asks you directly!!! Free travel advice - basically avoid London Bridge & Lewisham for the next 30-36 months!
  3. Cheers Martin, I'll give them a call as soon as I get a signal (the wifi here won't handle VoIP)
  4. Only just seen this. If there's any cancelations let us know by 7pm & we will be happy to take 2 places. If not have fun & we will see you sometime next year!
  5. Welcome to the forum yetimonster I found looking at the various car buying websites (Drive The Deal and the ilk) gave a good indication of the price to aim for with the dealers. Any idea of delivery date yet?
  6. Thanks for sharing, nice idea
  7. Yep, it's a bit of a TARDIS on wheels... it comfortably beats our Toyota Verso for room despite being half the size. Also, I don't know if this is just me, but I always end up chuckling to myself when I park it in a supermarket car park. It's so easy to park compared to the size of car I normally drive. I pick up our new Yeti on Thursday and I'm already thinking of reasons to pinch the Citigo for the odd day here and there.
  8. I love driving ours.... even though I'm over 6ft and far from being a lightweight. I think it really comes into its own on the small country lanes - it's just so fun to drive and handles like a dream.
  9. The wait is nearly over! It arrived at the dealers late on Thursday and we collect it next Thursday
  10. Surely, by virtue of the fact that Skoda installed the controller & also all of its variety of settings, you're not adding anything to the car. Should we notify insurers if Skoda update a setting as part of a service or recall?
  11. Sadly, due to shift patterns I won't be able to make it. Have a great time
  12. Without Mirrorlink it doesn't seem anything to get excited about. In fact if anything it seems to be a downgrade. I do wonder if they will enable Mirrorlink with a firmware update somewhere in the future. It does seem like VAG has decided not to plump for Apple's CarPlay. +1 for the Android users.
  13. Just been told that our car has left the factory & should be with the dealer in 2-3 weeks. Strangely, this seems to make the wait even more difficult!
  14. Hi Geoff - welcome to the forum! We ordered the same model mid August and ours has just left the factory with delivery expected in 2-3 weeks, so fingers crossed!
  15. Although not to be taken as gospel, when I spoke to SUK Customer Service yesterday they were completely unaware of any impending changes to the ICE units. I'm sure it wouldn't be the first or the last time they haven't been told though.
  16. I hope that this approach by SUK proves a bit more fruitful. It really takes the shine off owning a new car.
  17. Received mine this week & will fit once my Yeti arrives. Thanks for setting this up!
  18. I'm starting to think you might have masochistic tendencies..... as you know, I'm in the big lump category myself and I must admit that I wimp out of any plumbing/building jobs as I just don't have the experience. If we can avoid mentioning wet rooms in front of Mrs BM65 at the November meet I will be utterly grateful!
  19. I have the same build week, I'm expecting mine 2-3 week of November. It might turn up earlier, but I'd rather be pessimistic and be pleasantly surprised!
  20. I would wait until you have a confirmed build week EH, with the experience of our Citigo delivery was closer to 3 weeks, but a lot will be down to queues at Emden and transporting it once it's in the UK. In theory mine could turn up by the end of this month, but I am expecting it around the 2-3 week of November. Anything earlier will be a bonus. Fingers crossed for both of us!!
  21. Not at all Graham, I've just learnt from previous experience that some here tend to gang up on certain posters as I'm sure DarrellGB will acknowledge. By nature I am a friendly bloke, but if people want to be aggressive then I respond in the same way that people speak to me. The point of the post I made was to invite suggestions of techniques I might use to make the Bolero unit in the car I'm about to take delivery of appear to have a malfunction that would require it to be replaced. It is a joke because I would never dream of doing this as I am not so irresponsible. It was a cathartic exercise to allow me to express my frustration at just missing out on the new unit that has some features I would very much welcome. It appears that mannyo was able to discern the meaning of my flippant remark. However, please allow me to apologise for causing yourself, 137699 and aerofurb any confusion. I hope this explanation relieves you of any lingering confusion. To avoid future confusion please feel free to ignore any future postings I may make.
  22. I've been looking for a new trolley jack. Thanks for the post Auric.
