http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-MK5-GTI-2-0-FSI-TURBO-200CPI-3-SPORTS-CAT-EXHAUST-PIPE-/230865921656?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35c0ae6678 I took a punt on one that went for £200 on auction and made it fit. I have a 2010 tsi vrs and the sport cat fits the flange with no messing around. Oddly I was expecting to need to drill the flange holes out as the pre fl and fl have a similar flange but fortunately this sport cat fits straight on. Miltek use a flange that accommodates both bolt holes, as does the new OE gasket I purchased to fit it. The only problem faced on my car was adapting it to fit the OE mid section/back box as the cat section travels more than half the length of the car in a 3" section then steps down to the OE size, we just had to cut the OE mid section down part way up to marry it up, used a new OE clamp sleeve, bobs your uncle, fannies your aunt, instantly pulls much better. It looks like a rip off of the miltek cat, so with a different sleeve size cut and welded or clamped on you should be laughing to your new system. Cat lined up to my spare turbo: Where it flares down to OE clamp: 3" at the flange: 3" after sport cat: 3" into second section: OE size outlet: On the car, note the lambda is on opposite side but the wire has enough in it to locate there: As I said, you can fit it to the OE system, the miltek may need a reducer cutting in on the 3" section to step down to the 2.75" that your cat back prob is but I'm only guessing at that. Hope this helps, Cal

Ah, damn you! Lol It was my day off and had my 1year old on my knee feeding her with the in laws chatting to me whilst holding my phone hitting the last bid at 8 seconds to go. I'd put £262 then knocked it back to £212 before I finalised it as I've spent over £1k on the car over the past couple of months but that was just a billy bargain. Top bidding though mate and enjoy it. I picked up a sport cat on eBay for £200, more bargains to be had on there mate. Cheers, Cal

Ah, you won it then! I thought someone would boast about it?, I'd bid on it too but been spending too much on the car of recent so I only put a bid of £212 on it otherwise I would have gone to £350. What did you put as your max bid out of interest? And yeah, huge bargain and a right daft way to list it as it should have gone for way more. Good buy though mate, I'm not jealous in the slightest....

Metallic click noise on change of direction..
OctyCal replied to BO60BYS's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Try in an open area putting it on full lock, reverse and see if it clunks/clicks. Do both sides. If it does then deffo cv joint. Sometimes a very small click can just be a brake pad not retracting and moving slightly in the calliper carrier, or missing a pad retaining clip. I've also seen brake pads de-laminate so that the friction surface comes away from the backing which would also give a click until it falls out. I'd say it'd be worth if your handy to just strip the calliper and pads off, assess, clean them up and put it all back together. Cheers, Cal -
Just nipped out and measured mine through the wheel for you. Bare in mind this is approx with a tape measure through the wheel: From disc to outer edge of caliper you will need approx 60mm clearance, I have just fitted this kit 4 days ago so brand new discs to outer edge of the caliper is around 55-60mm. I have genuine bbs ch's with a 35mm offset and have approx 20mm clearance from the caliper face, approx 80mm from the face of the disc to the inner edge of my wheel. Hope it helps

Which lowering springs fit octavia vrs
OctyCal replied to EDI's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
The cheap apex cep springs are actually mk4 golf springs, I bought some and the octavia sticker was stuck over the golf label, they sit lower at the back just like the pi springs. However if of interest to you, I do have a set of brand new spax coilovers for sale, rrp is £700, only asking £400 for them, never been fitted, still boxed -
I have a brand new unfitted set of spax coilovers in the for sale threads if interested?

I've had Same issues on my wife's golf, uses the same expansion tank. Have a look at the expansion tank where you top the water up, the little pipe that runs the water back into it on the right hand side of the bottle if you are looking at it from the front of the car. The spout that the hose clips onto snap off and should be a couple of inches long, if it has snapped off and been put back on with a stubbier inlet with the OE spring clip they don't alWays seal correctly. You couldn't really tell as the weep was so small, but perseverance found it. Worth a look, hope it helps.

I recognise that cannondale box I'll be watching this build with interest, hope you don't find too many issues with the engine Mate.

Hi Nigel, thanks for the offer but I'm firm on £120. It is worth £150 if I held out for it but I thought I'd drop to £120 to clear through them quickly. You'll not see the h&r or eibach ones come up on their own very often as they only sell them as a pair New for over £350. If you ate interested I can pm my PayPal for you and have it sent out in Monday, it'll be the best £120 you ever spend on your car, believe me. Even driving on the motorway the car is more stable, get it on the lanes and it's a different car altogether. Whiteline rarbs come up every now and then for this price but this fitment is neater and won't scab up like the whiteline one, Cheers, cal
