  1. Thanks but it’s already been to a reputable repairers and they couldn’t fix it. It hasn’t worked for about 7 years and I’ve given up on the thing and I’m looking to replace it and not waste anymore time. Shipping it to Poland to find that it still can’t be fixed is just throwing more money away but thanks for the offer.
  2. I sent my Amundsen radio away to be repaired after getting "Emergency Update - Please Insert Disc" then "Disc not found" to be repeated over and over until unplugged or the battery went flat. The repairers told me that they can't fix it so now I'm looking to replace it. It seems that it was coded to the car. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement as I'm very wary of buying one online only to find that it won't work and can't send back for a refund? The car still drives like new and I love it but I'm fed up with using a bluetooth speaker that slides all over the place.
  3. That’s it. It then just blanks out and in a few moments it repeats.
  4. Satnav, hands free, music, nothing works. If I plug it back in it will say emergency update please insert disc. Disc not found over and over until the battery runs flat. Can’t switch it off. My first yeti was stolen and I tried a lot of alternatives but I came back to buy another one so another car is not an option.
  5. Yes it worked perfectly for about 4 years. I started the car one day and that’s when I got the emergency update message. The radio system hasn’t worked since. I’ve had the car from new in 2015 and it’s now done 42k miles, has never let me down and apart from a cam belt and air conditioning repair it runs perfectly apart from this radio problem and I’m determined to sort it so any advice is most welcome as my wife’s advice to just buy a new car is giving me tinnitus! I love my yeti!
  6. Sorry it has 2 memory cards, the left one for MP3 music and the right for the map drive. It may also be an Amundsen 1. I don’t know the difference.
  7. Skoda Yeti 2015 L&K Amundsen player Help! Just after my warranty on my Yeti ran out I suddenly got a message "emergency update - insert disc" then "disc not found" which repeated over and over until the battery went flat. I took it to two dealers who said needs a new head unit. £1000. I read that someone took their car in to a dealer in the midlands and they repaired it. I've seen a similar post to this before so I'm wondering if the problem has been sorted and it is possible to get this update. Failing this has anyone got any suggestions to fix without spending so much? I heard that another unit has to be keyed to the car.
