  1. Thanks, David for the information - was the underfelt in one piece? As the driver and rear footwell were the only areas to get wet was thinking of just removing / lifting that side to get at the underfelt and how is the carpet fitted to the door sill area? Thanks again that was a great help.
  2. Hi - did the garage tell you which area was blocked, as previously mentioned it is important that the leak is resolved. I have had a similar problem with my wife’s Citigo - I have managed to remove most of the water and next job is to lift carpet and remove insulation. Best of luck.
  3. Sorry - at the time most of the water was ending up in the rear footwell as vehicle was on slight incline, only noticed that the drivers side was also wet when i started to remove with Vax. thanks again for helping out.
  4. Update on water problem - hopefully found it - the drain holes under the windscreen were blocked, once the crud was vacuumed out and leaves removed, water went straight out under the car. I managed to use my Vac to remove the water from the footwell although my next task is to get to the sound insulation to remove/dry out. I think the water was draining into the car through the heater.
  5. I hope I have resolved a water leak but now faced with wet carpets/insulation - has anybody removed fitted carpets, is it a big job?
  6. Many thanks Steve for pointing me in the direction of the Up forum - loads of articles and hopefully areas to investigate - never thought of the roof mounted brake light😀 I now need to remove the carpets and sound proof matting - hope I can do this without removing the seats. hows the weather down there in Cornwall?
  7. I have recently encountered rain water getting into the rear footwell on the drivers side - 3-4 gallons. I suspect the sunroof but cannot be certain - has any body encountered similar problems with water getting into car, windscreen seal looks a bit suspect.
  8. Hi - can anybody help. Went to move my wife’s car today which has been parked up for over the last 3/4 weeks - welcomed with a considerable amount of water in rear footwell on drivers side. noticed rear roof lining is damp. The car was recently serviced by garage - wondering if the sunroof was not closed properly or possible drain channels blocked. also where do the drain tubes/channels exit on three door car? This is the first time it has happened - low mileage car. Thanks for any help, Malc
  9. Thanks for that advice - I will try that out tomorrow - it does seem strange that both seats stopped working.
  10. How did you know what I did after looking at Surreyjohn post? I did look in fact, but was a bit baffled as the layout did not appear to match the layout in my vehicle, also I could not see a number 32 fuse to check. i had presumed the fuse is ok because I thought the switch was after the fuse, not realising that there could be more than one fused circuit as Graham pointed out. Since checking I have been busy trying to sort out some work for one of my clients. i certainly do not know more than other members - that is why I asked for advice. I have not used this site for a long time, but quite frankly if this is the attitude you get from some members I will not bother again. thank-you to all those members who have helped out on this matter - my wife may need to use a hot water for now!
  11. What rating is this fuse? If the light comes on the switch I presume the fuse is ok?
  12. Thanks for that info - I will check the connections under the seat.
  13. Hi, both heated seats not working on my yeti - switch light coming on but nothing else - looked to check fuse but not clear which one from manual. Skoda elegance 170 ps thanks,
  14. Yes came back down the Wye Valley after picking up the new dog cage near Ledbury.
  15. The Matterhorn alloys work really well with candy white - if you do go ahead with the change, go for powder coating.
  16. I also had the pleasure of owning a vrs Octavia MK2 estate - loved it!!!! However I now have a Yeti 4x4 170 Elegance - Yes it is a dream to drive and feels like a tall version of the vrs with a nicer ride - I have just completed 850 miles and decided to open it up today - I had a big beaming smile all the way home - then I treated it to its first snow foam wash - I love this car!!!
  17. Hi Scott, Nice meeting up with you today - hope all goes well with the Guardsman Gate and your dogs. Regards, Malc
  18. Hi - my you really have been busy - I like what you have done, particularly the TT pedals, did I spot a foot rest? - where did you source these and how difficult to fit? Regards, Malc
  19. Hi every one, I have just traded in my vrs Octavia estate Mk2 for Yeti 4x4 Elegance. I now have a Guardsman lockable gate for the Mk2 Octavia estate for sale - very easy to fit/replace, does not damage the interior and if you have dogs it is ideal as you can leave the boot open with the gate locked. We take part in dog agility events and our dogs spend a lot of the time in the car, this product has been excellent for both security and keeping the car well ventilated. I have attached image - This product is custom made for the Octavia and looks really good when fitted - We paid £250 new, will except any reasonable offer over £100. We are based in North Somerset, would prefer if the buyer collected. Regards, Malc
  20. Hi Chilley - Yes I would appreciate if you could provide us with some photos - the Halfords rally mud flaps are very reasonably priced.
  21. Hi and welcome - I have just joined the forum. I collected my car last Friday - I am very pleased and like your wife we have three dogs, which take part in dog agility. Have you thought how you will transport the dogs in the Yeti? Keep us up to date, particulary when you collect the car.
  22. We have both made a good choice - do not bin the the trims, it is quite easy to wrap - I have some brushed alu vinyl. I fitted the factory tow bar Sunday, Very nice piece of kit.
  23. Banjobach - Yes wrapping the original trim was a little fiddly in places, particularly in the corners - care and patience was the order of the day and the use of my wife's hair dryer. Silly Old Hector - the black alcantra looks the business, a real beaut ! - very supportive and firm. Thanks for your positive comments on the carbon trim. Just been trying out the factory fitted tow hook - very clever design.
  24. Thanks - yes I agree with your comments - the pedals are a nice finish and I do not regret changing to a Yeti.
