I noticed last night that the passenger door on my Superb Sportline isn't locking. If I press the lock button on the fob, or use the keyless locking on the door handle, the indicators will flash and the door mirrors will fold in and all other doors will lock apart from the passenger door which remains unlocked. If I then open the door (with the keys away from me) the alarm will sound, but all the other doors remain locked. The door doesn't show open on the maxi dot. The lock mechanism in the door appears to move manually the same as the others. Any thoughts? Matt

I have a Superb Estate 220 petrol registered in April 2018 - so to avoid an extortionate servicing cost by my local skoda dealer I thought i'd do the smart thing and book in at an independent garage which offered me the service and brake fluid change at a better price. When they've come to service it they said they were unable to access the sump because the access key is Skoda specific and they didn't have one available at the time. No charge, so no harm done just a waste of a morning. Has anyone else had this issue? I am not mechanically minded in any way so my understanding of it is perhaps not the best! I've had a quick google and there are plastic sump plugs that could act as a replacement if they can get the current one out. Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated!

HELP! All my windows opened overnight!
k9matt replied to Awed's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
It could be an electrical fault but before you ring the dealer were any of the car keys pressed up against something? Pressing and holding the unlock button drops all the windows -
Wow, so glad you came out of that 'relatively' unscathed, i've seen people end up with a lot worse from a lot less. I would agree with flying pig, very strong chance of a prosecution coming from this, and rightly so. Wishing you all the best in your recovery

Microfibre cloth works just fine, clear down the smudges every couple of days and your OCD should cope

Is a Sim card worth it for Columbus ?
k9matt replied to MarkUk63's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Picked up my MY18 Sportline last week and it does have a SIM slot. Just got myself a SIM only contract for £5/month giving me 2.25gb/month of 4g data. Presumably its a simple as putting the sim into the slot and then everything works...or is that a bit hopeful? -
Huge step up, aside from the difference in petrol/diesel of course, loving the refinement and comfort. Infotainment is a world apart from previous system and the canton has been a worthy addition in the hundred miles driving so far...

Diesel vRS - May 2014 Yes it was a toss up between that or Quartz but I felt that the business showed the black accents better

I collected mine today. 8 weeks from point of order to delivery, and super impressed with the dealership...great contact and customer service. And yes @edwards is absolutely correct, you're in for a treat!
-
Basically its a bit of a lottery Mine was sat at Grimsby docks for a week before it was collected by the dealership
-
A lot depends on when it sails from Emden, mine was built week beginning 19/03 and I will collect it this Thursday (12/04). In fact from point of order to delivery is less than 8 weeks which I'm pretty happy about. It got to the port by the end of that week and was released to the ship that weekend which is perhaps where I was lucky as it sailed the following week.
-
I'm told it will be going to Grimsby docks, which is handy....cos the dealership is a literal stones throw!

Ordered my 220 TSI Sportline on 14/02 and was told last week it was being built, further updates this morning is that it's been transported to the port and is awaiting to be accepted on the ship. Fingers crossed it sails this week!
-
Have you had any update Cool? I've been told my car has been built and is en route to the docks
-
You could be right about building in batches, is yours also the petrol engine? I'm just grateful it's before the GPF engines!

VRS owner tries superb sportline
k9matt replied to JamiePvrs's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I'm just about to order a Super Sportline 220 TSI DSG this week, currently own a vRS diesel but wanted to move away from diesel due to lower mileage and wanted a more refined drive and comfort than the sportier vrs. I was really impressed when i test drove it, looking forward to swapping cars..and forums later this year -
Is that silver or business grey boxer dog?

Will this effect the 220ps as well? Looking at placing an order this week

What deals have people got - discounts, pcp, pch
k9matt replied to jamiemad's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I'm just about to place an order for a Sportsline 220 TSI with a couple of options and CarWow was by far the best deal out there, approximately 24% off the list price (including the ongoing VWFS contribution). All three of my local dealerships couldn't and wouldn't get anywhere near the price and just spent their energy trying to buy me an in-stock car. I'm not suggesting its the be all and end al of car buying but I have found it to be a positive experience.
