Thats the issue I am having.. I know its been mentioned in depth about packing the bracket but can I heckers like find what exactly I should be looking at. The noise is driving me crackers!!! :S

Hi Guys, I have the dreaded annoying ratlle / sweet paper / bubble wrap ish noise coming from the middle vents / dashboard. A lot of topics have said getting the vents out is the hardest job, well I found that the easy part lol. I have looked at many a thread on this so please dont virtually kick my head in for starting another topic but I truly dont get what I am supposed to pack. I thought I had solved it at one point till I drove for a while and it came back :( Please.. Please... (I'm on my knees here) Has anyone got any photos of what exactly I am looking at and packing? Some topics on here once had photos attached but they have been deleted since.

I did roughly the same job just after Xmas too mate. What kinda Aerial are you using? I went for the cheap and easy way of buying an adaptor / booster for my existing Aerial and fitted it to that. Also yeah... the wire switch needed to be done. It works bang on but being around Chesterfield, there are certain areas of town where you cant get a signal.

To be honest no I'm now the height adjuster is typically gone every time I sit in it lol. The rocking seems to ease a lot when I adjust to the top. I'd rather just get a new base that hasn't got one and work from that I do know the screws in the runners are tight and are not an issue though.

Hi all!! I've been lurking about in the shadows now for the last 3 months getting some great advice on help on all sorts of issues. Obviously you guys really know your stuff!! Thank you!! Which is great for an idiot like me. I have tried many a many post to pinpoint my issue and I am half way there but kinda confused. I have a 51 mk1 skoda fabia 1.4 Auto by the way and the issue is what I think a lot of people have. The interior light does not come on when my drivers door when opened but works on the rest. The red warning door light on the actual door comes on when opening the passengers door but not when opening the drivers. The car randomly locks itself. The buzzer noise thing when you leave the lights on doesnt come on either. I am also assuming the centrol locking for the boot has something to do with this as I have to use the manual leaver to open the boot. I have read up on here that it probably is the micro switch in the door which sounds about right but what is confusing me is some people talk about the switch being located at the bottom of the door behind the riveted panel and from what I can make out other people have mentioned its in the actual door catch lock itself?? I was on about taking it to the local garage (non dealer) and getting it done but really want to make sure I have got it right and dont look a total, complete tool lol. Also while I am here I do have another complete unrelated issue. Sometimes driving at a certain speed and keeping rev's at a certain speed the car begins to judder or bunny hop. Its only at roughly 1500 to 2000 revs - 30mph ish (automatic gearbox) and as soon as I put my foot down its gone. I bought the car in January and according to the log book have seen it had a gearbox fluid change last October. Is it possible this is the cause as in the gearbox fluid wants changing as it wasnt done right or something?? for both issues above (or at all) there is no warning light or anything on the dash. Really do appreciate any help with these, thanks
