  1. not with mine, one key unlocks the car via button press, but not by KESSY(touching the dimples in the doorhandles) the other key(`master`) unlocks the car via button press and by touching the dimples in the doorhandles. TBH i never speced KESSY entry, nor paid for it. so I am not complaining, just trying to figure out whats what.
  2. is it just me, or only one of the 2 supplied keys opens and locks the door by KESSY? I call it the `master` key. everything else is same between the keys
  3. I did the cornering lights/fog lights.but now the fog lights are on all the time, not on turning left or right Edit Instead of abbiegelicht I had initialy encoded abblendich.thats why thry were on all the time. There is a coding if you want the fog lights as DRL
  4. CheersI have ross tech vcds and have done quite a few tweaks on my Passat B8. Just got the fabia last week and trying to gather tweaks. I deliberatly did not tick the 100£ option "static cronering lights" becuase I was pretty sure it was just an vcds option
  5. how can I enable fog lights as cornering lights?
  6. sounds like 'limp mode' once had this on the current fabia. both rear light bulbs were burnt, and the CPU woudlnt let the car accelerate more than 50kmh for safety reasons many things can trigger 'limp mode'
  7. i live in Macedonia. what I am trying to say is.. If I must press the brake constantly for S/S to work, I dont see the point having auto hold(just for those 2% incline traffic lights real life situations) I have auto hold on my manual passat. the idea behind the auto hold is that you dont have to press the brake constantly. you stop, put in neutral and forget about it,till you are ready to go. no one heard the rumor that newer DSG's dont require brake pressure so activate S/S?
  8. ok,so real life scenario. traffic lights. i come to a full stop with the brake. I release the brake because I have hill hold, but the engine starts(start/stop rendered useless) traffic lights. i come to a full stop with the brake. I hold the brake to use the start/stop, but then the hill hold/auto hold is rendered useless? i heard a rumor that newer dsg's dont need constant pressure on the brake to stay off on traffic lights???
  9. i have blackvue 550dual and transcend drivepro 200 both are hard wired directly to the fuse box,no loose and visible wires. also used power magic pro, device that shuts off the camera once battery voltage falls below 11.8v to protect the battery.
  10. could someone explain what is the point of having hill hold if DSG S/S requires foot on the brake to function? isnt the driver performing manual hill hold pressing the brake on traffic lights etc...? especially cuz hill hold is a paid option where I live.
  11. ))) I am talking about Macedonia/Balkan/Europe. And...there is only one Skoda dealer in my country. Ta daaaa
  12. I got quote of 120 days wait period across the range. regardless of optional equipment
  13. Thanks for your reply regarding the multilink. I think that 1.8 tsi get the multi link suspension aswell. I am not too fussed about that. I was more interested in the 1.4tsi dsg being the older engine. because the manual 1.4tsi is euro 5 and the 1.4tsi DSG is euro 2(implying that it is in fact the older engine?) http://www.briskoda.net/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=33980 maybe that is why the 1.4 dsg is fuel thirsty?
  14. Sorry to hijack the thread but the original is locked. `Back to topic, does anyone find it interesting to note that the 1.4TSI units are rated at 140 bhp not 122 and that the DSG boxed 1.4 TSi is an old engine with only euro 2 emissions compliancy? All the diesel engined cars will be fitted with the cheaper rear axle, including the 150bhp unit? Ian ` is this still valid?even for MY15?
  15. Iike I said in another post. Where I live LPG is 60/65 eurocents and petrol is 1.3 euros. Twice the price. The lpg costs 900 euros. The math says by 1800km(lets say 2500km because lpg uses more liters+38% per 100km) I would have paid off the lpg system and start effectively saving money on fuel. The car+lpg has to pay it self on the long run. The local Skoda dealer here sells them with lpg fitted by a local(connected with the dealer) garage. It costs more for the fitting but you still get the warranty on the car. If you take it out of the dealer on petrol and instal lpg in any other garage(cheaper) you loose the warranty. I have heard that usually it takes 20 000km before fitting the LPG but i think new engines need not that? Any advice and experience is welcomed and appreciated Cheers
  16. Hello I need some reassurance. I am offshore so I can not check it myself. Do the estate and hatch both have space under the boot floor for the spare wheel? I need this info because usually that is where the LPG tank goes. In the Macedonian specs it says spare wheel as standard EQ but could not find out if it has space under the boot floor. Cheers
  17. Hello Could someone tell me is it possible to install LPG on the green tec engines? I am not sure how the start-stop system will work with the LPG. I am looking into 1.4 Tsi green tec combi and later on installing a LPG. In my country the LPG is 65 eurocents. That is half of the petrol price. Also, I see there are Greenline and Green tec. I cant make out the difference? 1.4 TSi Green tec(Elegance)-18900 euros + LPG costs apx. 900 euros=19800 euros 2.0 TDi Green tec(Elegance)-21870 euros. Cheers
