    Bolero CD Fault

I haven't marked this as 'resolved' because as fate would have it, I didn't have time to try the fuses the day after the recommendation and since it hasn't gone wrong at all. I'm guessing minor software glitch resolved by some time being turned off. Weird one. I'll post if anything else occurs / a fix works. Thanks all!

    Bolero CD Fault

I've tried multiple CD's and in different CD slots on the changer. Although I'm guessing they might all use a single laser to read so maybe a cleaner might help. My last warranty visit took over 3 months to resolve because I couldn't 'prove' there and then that an issue existed so they just didn't believe me. If I can't resolve it with something basic I'll be on the phone to Skoda UK as I really don't expect to have this many problems with a brand new car.

    Bolero CD Fault

Good idea, thanks! I'll try it and see what happens. Typically all issues I get are intermittent so testing anything can be difficult!
  4. Before I start, apologies in advance if this has been posted before, I've had a look and couldn't find anything. I don't know if I'm just having bad luck, but it seems just about every 3 months my Yeti finds another 'problem' to have. Fortunately this one isn't as serious as last time, but non the less it's very annoying. My Bolero system has started intermittently playing a track, getting so far through, jumping to the next track, stalling a second without playing, going back to the original track and playing that again from the beginning. Quite often this process is repeated until the engine has been turned off for some time, but it keeps coming back every couple of days. In case that was a bit confusing, the following happens: Playing Track 5. Tracking five hits approx 2:45 of 3:50. Jumps to Track 6. Nothing happens for a second. Jumps to Track 5. Plays Track 5 from beginning. And repeat. I've tried all the obvious things, different CDs, different CD slots in changer etc. Can't find a particular scenario that causes it. Car is a 2014 (14 plate) Skoda Yeti 4x4 140ps Outdoor. Any ideas?
  5. I'm guessing not - as I've just looked at the spec and it appears to be the same base model as mine (SE) but with the black trim, SatNav, alloys (which I added as an extra too). Unless you've got a DSG? In which case you might have hill-start assist?
  6. As above. I paid for the Off-Road button as an extra. Doesn't change the functionality of the 4WD, just adds hill-start assist, decsent-assist and throttle-control from what I can gather =)

  8. Hopefully, this is my final update. Got my Yeti back this afternoon. Never been quite so happy to be able to drive economically without fear of a splutter and stalling. I believe that the part changed was actually the EGR cooler (unsure if they changed the whole valve as well). It's running very smoothly now and seems to be a damn-sight faster than I remember (probably degraded performance gradually). For anyone thinking that they might switch to the VW Tiguan as their next car as a 'bump-up' from the Yeti - don't bother, it doesn't even come close.
  9. Good idea - I mentioned doing this to the garage last time it was in as I have a GoPro but they didn't seem to keen on the idea. But if it's still playing up then I'll do it and send it to Skoda directly. Just got a lovely top-spec VW Tiguan delivered ass courtesy car. :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Well - after several weeks of driving it around very carefully, today it finally conked and gave an engine problem light! Skoda assist came out and did their usual computer wizardly - low and behold, EGR valve failure. Not impressed that given that they know about this issue, they wouldn't think to test it in the first place. Lets hope they can fix it this time!
  11. Probably not! But they probably only recommend one specific brand of fuel too, so you know - worth a shot.
  12. Yeah - I've got documentation from its first visit to the dealer so hopefully that'd be enough to prove its been on-going. The no-fault no-interest side of it seems very bizarre. I got the distinct impression they hadn't even lifted the bonnet.
  13. Thanks for the responses all. It would be interesting to hear if Waterwiz gets any response. I've taken the car back as in need of the 4WD and am keeping it topped with high quality fuel and have used a bottle of Redex Diesel Advanced to help clear any build up. Only had one minor judder since so going to keep going with it to see how it develops. Any more failures to start and it's going back and will be straight on the phone to Skoda UK.
  14. Can I ask for that? Or is it best to contact Skoda UK directly?
