  1. Merekat: Thanks for the heads up on TPS, I didn't know about them and they are 5 mins from where I live :-) Dallen75: Nice redirect :-), good price as well. I may certainly be interested (if you still have it in a couple of weeks), sorry I cant move quicker on it. Did you use it at all?
  2. Thanks Duv I suppose i assumed that the mention of main dealer is normally twinned with being shafted on the price of things :-) cheers
  3. Hi All, I have a fair idea that there are areas within the forum covering this already, so I apologise. All I am after is advice on the best place to purchase the following, ideally a single supplier. Rev N PCV Rev D DV Update: I have read a couple of confusing forums, which is the newer/better design "Rev D DV" or Rev G? These are for my 2006 Octavia VRS Thank you in advance Ian
  4. Thanks Gaz, I appreciate the comment. :-)
  5. Just the one pic for now, i will have to spend some more time polishing it to get rid of the swirls in the paint, but i think she still looks alright.
  6. Hi All, I am sure the "Topic Title" is probably a little common and is not very imaginative, but hey its the truth. I have recently bought a 2006 Octavia VRS in black its done 71k miles, full service history and just had cam-belt and water pump done (which was a bonus) I very reluctantly sold my ST220 Mondeo and made the move due to the fact that it was costing me £261/6 months Road tax and for my common journey (short and in traffic) i was getting 11 mpg. For some reason my missus seemed to have a problem with that :-), and I needed to remove at least one of the things she moans about. So far I am impressed with the VRS, alright its not as quick as the Mondeo but very refined and still a pretty exciting drive. I am still coming to terms with the loss of the mondy but that will pass. I expect a remap will be in order in the not to distant future as it isnt that difficult to get it the 230bhp (or so it appears) which will bring it to what I was used to. I will get some pics up as soon as I get a chance to wash and polish her. Cheers Ian
