  1. Has a look at the back of an audi a6 avant, I had a black edition and the tailgate looks very similar.
  2. Hi My 2yr old superb elegance has suddenly lost a row of dead pixels on the maxidot display that goes straight through the cars milage a trip miles, woukd this kind of thing be covered by skoda warranty, the car is just 2yrs old. Cheers
  3. cheapest place for tyres by far is formula one autocentres, have not found anyone who can beat them TW125 will give you another 5% off online just had Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 92Y XL fitted £84.31 so cheap if you ask me. Continental Sport Contact 5 92Y XL are only £93.96. Camskill want £90.30 for the contis and and £82.25 for the goodyears and thats without fitting or delivery!
  4. W rated means the tyre is rated up to 168mph so you will be fine...
  5. Thanks thats the area I think its coming from, I was thinking of the same and had a quick look earlier, looks like not much room for my big hands so maybe a struggle lol.
  6. I would be supprised if it was the air intake box, I have read about that but the sound is like metalic pinking sound if that makes sense rather than a rattle. To me it makes a noise as if you were tapping thin metal
  7. My superb has a little annoying rattle, it sounds like it resonating from the engine bay more of a tinney/ metalic rattle heard on acceleration normally around 1500 to 2000 revs, I think its the heatshield just behind the engine at the back. It does not do it when the car is cold but as the car gets warm it appears but only when I put load on the engine, easily cured with stereo turned up but you know what its like soon as you pick it up you hear it all the time. Would something like that be covered by warranty ? The car is just over a year old.
  8. The new car after a proper clean and polish, really pleased and pleasantly supprised.
  9. Picked up my skoda today and as stated car is in immaculate condition, nice 100 mile drive home taking in town drivihg A, B and motorway driving, the car drove great a real good motorway cruiser, now I am wishing I had looked at skoda much earlier they appear to be a hidden gem if you can bring yourself past the old skoda reputation.
  10. I have drove one that I had on hire for 2 days, same model and spec, I wouldn't have put a deposit down on an older higher mileage car without seeing it but a car just a year old with low miles I thought it was worth the small risk. The car is well priced in my opinion and as the deposit left is small, plus the email agreement that if not as described I will get it back so not really a risk at all. I know there are quite a few for sale around 19000 upwards mark but this is cheaper so if alls well ive saved 500 minimum.
  11. deposit left and payment will be made when i go to collect, if not as stated then no payment simples!! and deposit made on the agreement the car is as described, I have purchased 4 brand new cars in the past and never saw them until the day of collection either...
  12. 14800 miles so not many at all, likes most dealers they will change tyres if they get down to around 3mm. Its a skoda main dealer and he may or may not be making a profit, dealers do sell at cost or a loss to meet targets I will never know for sure but the price for me is very good, I have no reason to disbelieve him when he says its immaculate condition, it is afterall just a year old. If the car is damaged or anything like that then I will not accept it but I doubt that will be the case.
  13. Deposit left on march 2013 (13) superb combi dsg 170 elegance :-) paid 18490 with 12 months tax and was given top price part exchange for my car, dealer said he was selling the car at a loss which I believe may be the truth. To be honest not even seen the car only in pictures but he said its mint and just had 2 tyres and service last week. I Did have a superb on hire for 2 days which made me consider it as the family car due to being so impressed with the quality and sheer size as both my sons are almost 6ft and still growing! Looking forward to picking it up next week and the 100 mile drive back home.
  14. Had the new audi a6 estate 2.0 177 black edition as a company vehicle in my last job before I left, is that the same engine ? If so that was a sweet engine.
  15. Thanks I was airing on the side of the estate, what about values in about 3yrs is the FL going to be worth much more ?
